The premise, in which protagonist Rentaro, the love interest, meets 100 soulmates due to a godly mistake, is mind-blowing . While a typical harem anime would have you struggling to choose who to choose, this series offers the option to love them all. It’s a level beyond harem, but I recommend this series be your first pick for harem fans. At number 17 is Love Can’t Be Divided by Twins. The appeal of this series lies in its careful portrayal of the differences in the romantic feelings of twin sisters . Watching the protagonist, Jun, at the mercy of the two sisters, keeps you on the edge of your seat, wondering which one she’ll choose . The subtle emotional distance and mutual feelings that arise from being twins are heartbreaking and beautiful. This is a rather innovative approach to expressing the complexities of love through the setting of twins. Ranked 16th is Nare Nare. This work is a masterpiece of youth drama told through cheerleading . Its greatest appeal is the human drama unfolding among characters from diverse backgrounds . Starting with the main character, Chiyo-chan, each character is so distinct and unforgettable . Despite simply depicting the mundane aspects of school life, it somehow has a mysterious charm that makes it hard to stop watching. It’s a work that undoubtedly laid the foundation for slice-of-life anime, and can be called a masterpiece . At No. 11 is Shimo-kai ni wa Mi ga Iru. Based on a Korean web novel , this series is clearly different from other romance anime. Its appeal lies in its natural portrayal of the love lives of college students. The protagonist, a former idol who lives in a club like Yono, maintains a delicate line between seeming close and distant, which is exquisitely done. Furthermore, there’s also the influential figure who infiltrates the same university in pursuit of Makoto, a senior student she admires, which adds to the intriguing nature of the series . Furthermore, Mikuni, who recently broke up with her boyfriend she met at a group blind date , is faced with a complicated relationship involving qualifications, including Sara. Being based in Korea, this is a must-watch for fans of unique romance anime not found in Japanese works . Coming in at number 10 is Gotchi the Rock. The appeal of this series lies in its ability to portray typical social situations to the utmost. The fantasy scenes of Mikuni are so relatable that they’re painful to watch, drawing a flood of empathy. It ‘s striking how the familial bonds are carefully portrayed, not just the romantic elements, making it feel like a novel. Coming in at number seven is Airi, the girl next door, who occasionally murmurs in Russian. The appeal of this work lies in its new type of tsundere, exploiting the language barrier. While Marya is unshaven and tsundere in Japanese, she’s sweet and affectionate in Russian— a stark contrast. The protagonist, Masaie, actually understands Russian, creates an exquisite tension. The idea of integrating the language barrier into the romance element is brilliant, and the other heroines, including Sou and Yuki, are also excellent. The series is full of interesting plot twists, and with a second season already confirmed, it’s a fun series to enjoy. My specialty is Kako’s instructions. Erika , Hiro, Sachi, and Ai are all so charming that it’s hard to decide which one is your favorite. It depicts not only the romantic elements but also the passion for hobbies, making it especially recommended for those who consider themselves otaku . Coming in fourth place is Goddess’ Cafe Terrace. The appeal of this work lies in its depiction of the daily lives of girls, each with their own unique personalities . Although they’re not as tsuko as in The Quintessential Quintuplets , each of the five characters is well-defined and easy to remember. The story has an excellent balance between the practical issues of running a cafe and the romantic elements. The main character, Hato, is a pile of stuff, and it’s very appealing to see him care about everyone no matter what. The cafe setting makes it a very comfortable slice-of-life anime, and personally, I ‘m looking forward to seeing a sequel soon. In third place is Rent-a-Girlfriend. What’s great about this work is how it carefully portrays the emotional changes amidst the complex human relationships. The contrast between Chizu’s acting and that part makes you feel excited along with Kaya. It’s great that Kaya is portrayed as a life-like college student, including her pathetic side, which makes it so realistic. The process of their relationship developing from a rental girlfriend into a real romance is moving, and I think Kaya is cool in every way. The depiction of the love tactics and psychological lines is thrilling to watch. It’s a highly polished romance anime. Personally, I think it’s one of the best romantic comedies and romance anime of all time . Second place goes to My Dangerous Heart. The appeal of this work lies in its delicate portrayal of the complex emotions unique to the Shihunki period. Ichikawa’s intimate personality and Yamada’s daunting personality are perfectly balanced. Watching their weapon-like communication, typical of middle schoolers, brings back memories. The romantic development is carefully depicted , with a middle school feel, but carefully drawn. I think it’s definitely a top-notch work depicting Shihunki’s lifelike romance. Even adults will find it a masterpiece that will make their middle school days flutter with excitement, so I highly recommend it. Our first place goes to Days Are Passed, But Meals Are Served. The beauty of this work lies in its warm portrayal of the friendship between college girls through cooking. There aren’t many works about the everyday lives of college girls, so just watching this one warms your heart. The fact that college students have more to offer is a major difference from the slice-of-life anime about high school students. Every episode features the protagonist eating something , and just watching her eat deliciously makes me hungry . It’s a very kind story that makes you realize the joy of eating with others. I think it’s a story that resonates with modern people, not just with the meal scenes, but also with its attitude of cherishing the casual moments of everyday life .
