For many viewers, Apple’s decision is less about consideration and more about damage control after realizing the show would be politically counterproductive . The Sawant remake could be a key element in the entertainment industry’s enduring challenge of balancing contentious storytelling with true fairness . While Justin calls the project heroic, he points out that it risks demonizing half the population. It remains to be seen whether Apple ultimately revives the show or quietly burys it.
