続編となる今作では警察学校を無事卒業し警察官となったニックと、ウサギ初の警官として以前にもまして熱心に任務に挑むジュディが再びバディを組むことに！ある日、ズートピアに突如現れたヘビ・ゲイリーをきっかけに、ジュディとニックはズートピアの巨大な謎に挑むことになる。そこでジュディとニックふたりの絆もこれまで以上に試されることになるのだが…。
