ジェームズ・ガン製作総指揮のDCドラマ『ピースメイカー シーズン２』映画『スーパーマン』の “あのキャラたち”が登場する話題のティザー映像【2025年8月22日よりU-NEXTにて独占配信】
USEN＆U-NEXT GROUPの株式会社U-NEXTが運営する動画配信サービス「U-NEXT」で、ドラマ『ピースメイカー シーズン２』が、米本国と同日となる2025年8月22日（金）より独占配信される。
2021年公開の映画『ザ・スーサイド・スクワッド “極”悪党、集結』より初登場した“過激派ヒーロー”ピースメイカーの活躍を描くスピンオフシリーズとなる本作。
『ザ・スーサイド・スクワッド “極”悪党、集結』のほか『ガーディアンズ・オブ・ギャラクシー』シリーズなど、多くのアメコミ映画を手掛ける名監督、ジェームズ・ガンが製作総指揮を務め、2022年に配信されたシーズン1では、米映画評価サイト「Rotten Tomatoes」では93%のユーザーが高く評価。登場キャラクターがシュールなダンスを踊るオープニング動画はYouTubeで1,800万回以上視聴されるなど、国内外で多くのファンを生み出す話題作となった。
映画『ザ・スーサイド・スクワッド “極”悪党、集結』の続きから始まり、「スターフィッシュ計画」での瀕死の重傷から奇跡の復活を遂げたピースメイカーが、エミリア、エコノモス、アデバヨらとともに新たな任務「バタフライ計画」に巻き込まれていくシーズン１。無慈悲な殺人兵器として暗躍してきたピースメイカーが新たな仲間と協力しながら「真の平和」に向き合っていく様子を笑いとアクション、そして予想外の感動で描いた。
シーズン２では、タスクフォースX解散後のピースメイカーと「イレブン・ストリート・キッズ」の仲間たちのその後が描かれる。さらに、映画『ザ・スーサイド・スクワッド “極”悪党、集結』でピースメイカーが暗殺したリック・フラッグの父、リック・フラッグ・シニアが登場し、波乱の展開に。
ティザー映像には、本日7月11日（金）より全国公開したジェームズ・ガンが監督を務める映画『スーパーマン』に登場するホークガールとグリーン・ランタンの姿が。映画とクロスオーバーする内容にファンの間では早くも話題沸騰となっています。『スーパーマン』に続くDCユニバース作品として『ピースメイカー』シリーズの今後の発展にますます期待が高まる。
