【STORY】
1945年5月5日。ヒトラーは既に自決、ドイツ降伏は2日後に迫っていた。オーストリアの《イッター城》には元首相を含むフランスの政治犯たちが収容されていたが、守備隊は城を捨て撤退。空白地帯となった古城は、徹底抗戦を続けるナチス武装SS部隊に狙われていた。フランス人捕虜たちは、救援に駆け付けたアメリカ軍第12機甲師団と共闘。さらに、ドイツ軍に反乱したレジスタンス部隊も加わり、米仏独が共闘するという『第2次大戦最後にして最も奇妙な戦い』の幕が上がるが…。
