Hi. The GOP really wants to win elections, and they’re trying to make that happen by removing people from voter rolls, making it harder to vote, and contesting the results if they lose.

  1. The individual citizens votes are mute. The election is already decided by the elite, electoral college, or whatever you want to label the ones who do your decisions 😮😮😮

  2. Canker sores getting recognition means i'm not the only one and this feels good.

Yes, knowing that this pain is shared comforts me

  3. I thought a Vice President can just choose to replace electors they don't agree with.

How can Trump steal the election with that kind of precedent set?

  4. In 2016 my grandmother voted for Trump. In 2020 she voted by mail for Biden. When her eldest son discovered that she had voted for biden, he blamed her dementia, and he demanded my ballot to cast her vote for Trump. I of course refused. Republicans only care about voter fraud that they are the not committing themselves.

  5. I haven't watched this channel in a while. I found the topics and presentation to be well-thought-out and charming. My only push-back or critique is: be weary of only talking to people that already agree with your position. Perhaps it is in your comedic narrative to use humor to show the obvious fallacies in your opponent's thoughts, but I find that being humble in your humor helps get the message out to a broader audience.

I'll give an example of what I mean. Let's suppose someone has a perspective about the Idaho law you mention that is different, but not antagonistic. Maybe it seems wrong to have a partisan family member vote for an infirmed individual without their permission or against their will with a mail-in ballot. I'm not saying that this happens, but one could imagine a scenario where this could be a problem. I'm not an expert on the law and I am not taking a position on it here, but I bring it up for consideration. To immediately assume the worst intentions of people that are trying to implement voter integrity laws may come off as arrogant and ultimately be a detriment to those that disagree with your premise.

I say this as a Georgia voter. I am living in an area where I have literally heard people suggest that the government is controlling the weather. I certainly don't want to accept their rationalization for this topic, but I try to think of ways to reach out that make them feel more in common with me than what makes them feel that I am talking down to them. I definitely could dunk on people I think are morons. It's a difficult process to change minds and maybe not something for a comedy news program. Still, great episode!

  6. I've always figured that in a democracy, voting was a DUTY, not a right. People who try to stop others from voting don't make any sense to me, because the WHOLE POINT of a democracy is to hear the voice of the people, and the way we do that is with our votes. Anyone trying to restrict votes is more likely to be scared of the general consensus of the people than they are to be interested in the integrity of the vote.

Speaking of that whole "voting is a duty" thing, go vote. Not voting isn't a "political statement," unless that statement is "I don't care what happens to my country," and if that's the case I envy your privilege. Even if you vote for the candidate I hate, if the majority of the country aligns with that position, then that's the direction that the people want to go in and determining that is the point of a democracy.

  7. I moved from Florida to Georgia recently and I just found out that I’m in Marjorie Taylor Green’s district, so I can’t wait to not vote for her. I hope they don’t mess with my ballot though

  8. The riot actually foiled The Plan, the attempt to overthrow the election result, get it to the Supreme Court, who would have handed the decision to the House – with Trump then getting the Presidency. The Green Bay Sweep. Without the riot, it is likely the election WOULD have been stolen – by Trump.

  9. Get rid of the Electoral College, and the problem is basically solved.
President is a NATIONAL office, it should be decided purely on the Popular NATIONAL vote.
