Two side of the story. she did her time she paid everyone back in 3 plus years. she made her mistake. let her live her life. Slam DWTS and ICE…not Anna. DWTS offered her a job, she accepted, and ICE allowed it. She was actually accepting to work for her money, for once. That's progress on her end. All those officials from ICE who allowed her to compete while still fulfilling a sentence need to be FIRED. Producers of DWTS who hired Anna should be fired. This country has become such an embarrassment.
I love Whoopi Goldberg as a child. I haven’t liked Whoopi as a young adult. But I absolutely agree with her on this. This person has no business being call me anybody out like that let alone being on a television show she should be deported. I don’t know her whole situation, but it sounds to me like she is guilty in the eyes of the law, and her poor dance partner should 100% get a second chance he never asked for any of this

You know, it’s interesting to see how many people feel the need to comment on Ana. Of course, it seems they’ve never made a mistake in their own lives. Ana has served her time and paid for her mistakes, yet no one seems willing to give her a second chance.
What do you think should happen to her? Would it make you happy to see her homeless and broke? It’s you who needs to reflect on your stance. Do you really believe that punishing her for the rest of her life is the best course of action? I think she deserves the opportunity to show she has learned from her mistakes. Her life is so public and scrutinized that any misstep will be widely known.
If she works hard and becomes successful, you might not even give her credit for it. The person who continues to belittle her only reveals their own immaturity. I’d challenge them to take a lie detector test and see how they fare. We all have skeletons in our closets; many just haven’t been caught.
For those who consider themselves righteous, remember what God said: “He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone at her.” Let Ana try to earn an honest living without making it more difficult for her. If she fails, let it be her own doing—not because everyone else weighed in with their judgments.
If you have time, I encourage you to help someone in need. There are plenty of causes, like supporting the homeless, the disabled, or the elderly. Choose one and contribute positively to society instead of trying to bring someone down.
As for the person constantly putting Ana down, it will take a lot for them to learn from their own tragedies. It’s unfortunate. I realize this may just make you angry instead of prompting reflection, but that’s alright. Maybe you can redirect your energy toward me instead, even though you don’t know me.

Ok, so let’s get real here. Yes, she did the crime. She also did time & paid back the people she took from. If she still owes anything, then how do you presume she pay that back if she is ostracized and not ever given an opportunity to make money? I don’t see an issue with her being on the show if it allows her to rebuild not only for herself, but also to pay back her debts to society. We are living in times where they’ve let out real criminals and invited illegals who commit crimes into our country. If you ask me, this Anna girl is the last thing we need to take issue with. This is absolutely white privilege and pretty privilege. I'm getting so tired of the US glamorizing and giving a social platform to criminals, especially criminals who actually deserve to be deported. She is a con artist, and she is continuing to con and gaslight people. This is how she is continuing to get privileges most people would not be legally able to obtain. She made so much money off of the story of her crime, but she was not supposed to under NY's Son of Sam laws, which prohibits those convicted of a crime from profiting from its publicity, and forced the majority of any of the funds she "earned" to be used for restitution and fines per the judgment. She did not, and probably wasn't going to, willingly pay off anything if she could get away with it. She served only 2 years before being remanded into ICE's custody for deportation. She overstays her visa, gets granted a low bail bond ($10,000) and is allowed to be released with her little monitor to make her TV and red carpet appearances, while still owing a lot of money to people she defrauded. Makes me wonder about her, to be honest, if there is more than just the fraud stuff. Is someone now sponsoring her stay in the US for some reason? She may be a German citizen, but her family is actually Russian, and she lived there until 16, when the family moved.
