  1. Go give Marbler a follow, this is likely the greatest achievement in gaming history.

I also got something wrong, it's Vertical Speed Conservation, not Vertical Speed Conversion as I had in the video.

  2. People doing this shit should try to cure cancer or something. Anything is possible with their perseverance.

  3. Whenever I start to feel bad about spending time dealing with something completely pointless in real life, I remember speedrunning is a thing. Also, "I LIKE THAT JUMP!"

  4. This dude and everyone who helped make the run possible are absolute legends. So crazy that it's actually been done!

  5. Can you bring some more awareness for the emulation crisis that is going on right now? As it effects all of us Vimms lair just got hit with a Nintendo game only Legal BS claim that could effect ALL of emulation entirely

  6. Just completely skipping over the 2xA run was an interesting choice. Marbler first saved all of the full A presses except for the pole and the chuckya drop, then he practiced a LOT more and saved all the half A presses as well as those two

  7. thank you so much for editing out the pause buffers man I've been wanting to watch a video explaining this run really bad but I hate watching the pause buffers it hurts my eyes

  8. Amazing video! Getting the trick off a rounding error really tickles my game QA tester brain. What an amazing achievement!

Also, Pannenkoek is pronounced "pan-nen-cook" for you English speakers. It's Dutch pancake and one of my favourite food (especially the Indonesian variant).

  9. This is by far the most amazing routing in speedrunning. And with a few insane tricks in there too.

  10. This isn't a 'no jump' clear. Going into and coming out of the belly slide is clearly a jump. And you can perform A button actions in the game that aren't a jump. This is a 'no A button' challenge, not a 'no jump' one. Not that this isn't impressive, but there's still jumping.

  11. "oek" in "pannenkoek" is pronounced like the "ook" in "spook"

It's the Dutch word for pancake ~ 🥞

  12. Marbler is such a legend, following this completion was a HUGE blast. Marbler even started contributing to some new strategies for the blindfolded SM64 speedrun lately!

  13. It took over 12 years to get to this point. From what i believe is lower than 100 jumps 12 years ago to 0, i'm quite proud of the ABC community.

  14. Essentially, this task is impossible and creates a barrier that prevents anyone from ever completing this category
    Marbler: "…So anyways I grabbed a Chuckya-"

  15. I wonder wether that glitch from the virtual console comes from the fact that after the N64 Nintendo used 32-Bit processors (until the Switch) and many games on the N64 use 64-Bit instructions for safety reasons. Emulating this isnt always easy and maybe there are conversion errors.

  16. Really awesome and underrated explanation here! I've watched a few other videos on this run, and this one is by far my favorite!

  17. Dude's a trucker and finds time for this? Absolute legend.
    Outta the way lot lizards!!
