  1. I'm sorry but this looks like garbage. Square is adding way too much to FF7. If you like it, great – not my cup of tea.

  2. This is Kingdom Hearts all over again: why is important context like this in the mobile game instead of the game that the majority of people actually give a fuck about?

  3. they can put this all in a dlc in rebirth💀ez
edit oh max said samething at the end lol

  4. I think the trailer for next reaso shows that Jenova had contact with Sephiroth prior to his meltdown at niblehiem and that his corruption was not purely his own instability but pushed along by Jenovas machinations.

To me it makes.perfect sense to make Jenova the front and centre antagonist.

Shes the source of nearly everything bad that happens in the setting.

She is a nigh on indestructible alien force.

And we know next to nothing about her.

Would be prime subject matter to .ake use off.

The trailer supports this for me along with this suggestion that Sephiroths plans while not nessarily good by sane accounts may not be the true threat but the calamity herself.

  5. I wouldn’t be surprised that in the end this “other” Sephiroth is ultimately going to be the one sacrifice himself to save everyone. Mainly to lead Cloud and the group to kill him and finally Jenova

  6. So again my theory about both Seth and a number of FF antagonist is that they are not the true enemy. Sephiroth (Seth) is possessed. He tried to fight it, much like cloud did but he couldn't.
He met Zack which threw him for a loop because Zach is unaffected by Jenovah's powers which for a while shielded him from it but in the end he still lost his soul.
Zack is the odd one out not Areith because she's a protector of the planet.
Zack is random far more than cloud. Which to me means Zack is probably the warrior of light in this world but passed his power on to cloud.
Mix that with the magic in this world. Black and white materia.
You get the original game of Zack being the hero who saves Seth from himself and they both die saving the world from Jenovah and her other children both of which are stronger than Seth. Sephiroth will probably get a redemption in the end and they will probably sacrifice himself to atone but then we are left with a evil goddess, Hojo who wants to become god by fusing with his other children and children of both of them who are stronger than Seth both mentally and physically. My guess is we will get the true form of Jenovah in the end. Human looking evil goodess with all of the powers of her kids and none of the weakness. AKA FF7 reunion

  7. Since I haven't actually played Ever Crisis can someone give some context to Glenn and his crew, along with Sephiroth, apparently killing the indigenous population of that island? Like, IS ethnic cleansing what they're actually doing? BEcause if so…. like, I was already kind of skeptical towards efforts to humanize Sephiroth in previous compliation games by making him a "poor little woobie" type of guy, but if I find out that they killed a bunch of people for landgrabbing purposes yet the game seems to frame it as them, the killers, feeling all hurt and betrayed and the last one from that island convincing Sephiroth he has to kill HIM because otherwise Shinra will hurt his friends, the fellow killers of his tribe… like, that is not at ALL making me more sympathetic to Sephiroth!

But again- I don't know the full context, just the loose snippets of what Max is saying here. Can't really judge until I get a better picture here.

  8. Super theory time. Ever Crisis is gonna become Sephiroth's game. Next "season" You'll start playing as Sephiroth and you'll see him go through the same shit as Cloud. By the time the 7R3 rolls out Ever Crisis will be finished and will have set up a "Good" Sephiroth that isn't corrupted by Jenova and we'll meet him in 7R3. Everyone at the end of OG VII originally thought that Seph overpowered Jenova and took over, but that's what Jenova wanted us to think! lol

  9. Did anyone show Max what was inside pendent

Which was a picture of Lucrecia that Sephiroth calls Jenova because Hojo said it was his mother, and that his mother's name is Jenova

  10. I think they're going to make something like KH back cover X or something, like make a movie to recap of what happened in ever crisis

  11. "THIS SHOULD HAVE BEEN IN REBIRTH" ya it's almost like spending 100 hours dicking around on the world map with stupid mini games was a pointless waste of time.

  12. 2003 has the darkest moments and is my personal favorite, 2012 has some ugly animation but it's storytelling is really great, and Rise has the best animation hands down. It's different but it's god damn ART

  13. They already have a multiverse. It doesn’t matter. They win. They lose. The story is literally pointless now lol

  14. Why does cloud and sephiroth look SO Identical in a lot of the to younger sephiroth parts

  15. If they address this in Part 3 it will seem off, may FFR players will not see this like me, unless they put this in part 3

  16. If I had a nickel for every time Square Enix decided to relegate a surprisingly interesting villain origin story for one of its main villains to a mobile gacha game, I would have two nickels.
Which isn't much, but it's strange that it happened twice.

  17. All I'm saying is, I had the right take back in 1997 when I was thought to myself, "Damn, Sephiroth was done dirty." His character is far more tragic than anything; a good man driven insane by insanely bad luck and the unfortunate characteristic of being infused with Space Satan's DNA. Jenova was always the main villain.

  18. *********SPOILERSSSSSSSS*******************

I don't think they're just "Humanizing" Sephiroth, I think this IS Sephiroth's humanity given manifest like he did during Advent Children except this Sephiroth is the human part that was cast off during On the Way to a Smile: Lifestream Black story. He cut off his humanity to become one with Jenova, which is the version of Sephiroth we see in Advent Children in the original timeline. It's possible, and my theory is this alternate timeline Sephiroth was pulled into the multiversal lifestream where it merged with Sephiroth's humanity that he let die and return to the lifestream since Jenova couldn't return to it. It would be interesting to see what happens from here. Is there a version of Sephiroth that is total humanity and the opposite of the one we see in Advent Children? Is this the same Sephiroth that's in Remake pushing Cloud into his anger? What does this mean for Jenova and the fact that Zach isn't dead in one of the timelines?

THIS SEPHIROTH HAS NO WINGS PEOPLE, KEEP THAT IN MIND. THIS VERSION OF SEPHIROTH HAS NO WINGS AND WAITS AT THE EDGE OF CREATION WTFFFFFF

  19. The game is a tribute to those who liked FF7. I quite like the ambiguity, it excites me every time I play it and hear someone talk about it.

  20. They’re setting up Sephiroth to be an anti-hero, who is manipulated and used by the real antagonist Jenova.

Sephiroth – Ardyn (XV) and Jenova – Bahamut (XV)

  21. If u want the full Story u need to consume all of the ff7 related games…that is SquareEnix plan.
