   Very happy to see part 2 of the Film Theory review of the ADC episode 2! Loved all the fun little conversations & the NPC potential mix up theory definitely seemed supported by the second episode. Also, appreciated the team looking up the original Resident Evil reference & can't wait for all the potential food theory videos with the stuff from ADC.

   Hey, who ever said that Pomni's entire memory was wiped? The only thing we know for sure is that she can't remember her name, and that is basic "selective amnesia" sci-fi shenanigans.

   THEORY: Kinger is the NPC AI who has been corrupted and is attempting to debug himself. He’s been there the longest after all. He’s got the ruler aesthetic. He’s yet to abstract despite clearly being insane. Could it be that Caine is a player character who took over- by force or by necessity? His sceptor could be Kinger’s royal staff rather than a carnie cane.

   My theory is Jax had that reaction because he had someone he was close to that abstracted. It would explain his being ambivalent and straight-up antagonistic towards everything.

    Semantic memory is the part of our memory that stores general knowledge! Episodic memory is the part that remembers our personal experiences. So someone can have amnesia that affects their episodic memory and will forget their childhood but their semantic memory will remain intact, meaning they'll still remember how to do things like drive

    Honestly you could probably explain NPCs without going too deep.

    Some people are real and can make actual choices and some people are made up to make the story more interesting.

    despite not having a lot of screen time yet, zooble is BY FAR the most interesting to me. 

    design-wise they're the least humanoid of the bunch as even kinger and gangle still have very humanoid aspects. gangle's ribbon body gives off the illusion of a humanoid form and the comedy and tragedy masks she has for a head are based off of a human face (albeit hers are a very simple and detail-less version). kinger is a bit less humanoid but he has a somewhat humanoid silhouette, two human hands, and wears clothes in the form of his robe like the other humanoid characters.

    especially silhouette-wise, zooble stands out as they look far more inhuman than the rest of the cast does. in the pilot, the parts they chose for that day literally included a crab claw. from what we've seen, they seem to lack ones that resemble "proper" human appendages, save for their right arm and left leg. they really stick out from the rest, especially considering they're always swapping out their parts and messing with them in order to find the "perfect fit". they're going to have different parts for each episode, which while being a cool detail, also really makes me think.

    zooble seems to be actively avoiding getting immersed in the circus. they seem to be a lot more down to earth than the rest of the main characters, as they're somewhat blunt when it comes to talking about the reality around them. they also don't seem like the type to mince their words and appear to be fairly no-nonsense as well.they continuously swear despite the filter, even after having presumably been there for years. the only other character we see do that is pomni, though she's only been in the circus for two days and it's probably on impulse. a silly thing to point out, sure, but most people tend to start censoring themselves if they know swearing is useless while zooble keeps doing it.

    they set up kaufmo's funeral as well and although they could have been asked to do so, i believe they did most of it, if not all of it on their own accord. they also were the last to give their speech about him and clearly seem upset when doing so. not to mention that they are the only one to actually say something that's particularly emotionally charged regarding kaufmo's abstraction, saying that they can't believe he just "gave up like that."

    they also refuse to participate in adventures, as from caine's line in the pilot about making the adventure "unobtrusive" that they can "choose not to get involved with" they probably choose not to go on most. they only went on the first one because the gloinks literally pulled them apart and dragged them into it. im like 99% sure that caine made the gloinks do that on purpose so that pomni would properly get introduced to everyone, including zooble, as it was clear that she was SUPPOSED go help save them from the gloink queen but got swept up into the whole kaufmo abstracting thing instead. zooble didn't go to the candy canyon kingdom either, and gooseworx has mentioned numerous times that zooble hates adventures.

    this could all be because zooble is the most recent arrival to the circus before pomni and therefore they're still holding on to some hope that they can leave and don't want to get immersed in the game, but i believe that it's moreso about them wanting to remain "human" despite everything. by not letting themselves get immersed in the digital circus, they are actively trying to cling onto the "humanity" of the outside world. to me, zooble doing this is their way of trying to stay sane as it allows them to hold onto the fact that they were indeed human at one point, and that they were indeed whole, despite the new body they've found themselves in for now.

    according to gooseworx episode 3 is gonna be the zooble episode where they get a bunch of screentime AND they appear a LOT more afterwards so i have a lot of hope that we'll get more of a look at them soon :3c in my eyes they aren't talked about nearly enough despite how interesting of a character they are!!! xP

    I want to pointed out because I feel like you guys missed it! I think it's extremely interesting that the fudge even exists because it suggests that Caine scripted it for the truck to fall over the edge. Otherwise he would've not even known that they would be down there therefore would not know to make a character for it. I feel like it suggests that Caine is not only making these scenarios, but also planning it to the actions of the people. And hear me up, but so far the only people we know to be human is only pomni, meaning that is possible that the rest are programmed by Caine
