In fairness, Scandal is much more punk-pop/pop-rock oriented than this song would suggest. AMDKJ is one of their harder rock songs, and while they do branch out in this vein occasionally, not all their songs are like this. Scandal is one of the most diverse Japanese rock bands, which has contributed to their longevity (18 years in August!) Glad yo reacted to Scandal, hope you do more!
