Looking good guys. Just Animations a bit stiff and the gun audio could use some work. But though have absolutely NAILED the atmosphere, art design, and creature audio. 🔥

Definitely needs to be darker especially in the apartments. Everything in those scenes look so well lit.

One word: Disappointment
It looks like a game made by inexperienced young people who have just graduated. This is disrespectful… Disappointed.
Does it look perfectly polished? No. Does it look horrifically bad? No, not at all. It needs work and i assume by the no release date that they know it needs work. Take all the time needed to make this live up to the og masterpiece. Sure, the combat looks a bit clanky, sure it probably needs to be fixed a bit but some of you need to realize something. I played every silent hill game in the years they came out and combat has NEVER been the focus. Its always been a little stiff and odd, thats part of its charm. The story and atmosphere are what make silent hill amazing. I have hope for this game. Bloober, dont let konami down and dont let us down

Looking at the comments and seeing people being fine with Silent Hill 2 being turned into Gears of War: Kinda Spooky, makes me yet again realize that video games are clearly no longer for me
Not sure I’m entirely convinced that the new fog effects are an improvement.
To my mind fog seems eerie because (like the original graphics) it literally is featureless and turns the world into unnaturally smooth layers, the world simply fades into whiteness.
There’s a strange sense of both claustrophobia (because it limits you to a visible bubble only a few feet wide) and a feeling of being lost in an immense expanses of nothingness.
These new effects make it look like 3D billowing smoke. Which is cool in its own way, but a very different aesthetic.
1:06 thats Leons run animation in RE4, a cop with tactical training. Story and immersion are what made the original – a button mash prompt and James running like he’s ready to pop zombie heads breaks both.
