2018年12月にシンガポールに移住してからあっという間なもので、1年以上経ちました。この動画ではIT企業にて現地採用として半年働き、その後シンガポールで法人設立したぼくの正直な感想を述べたいと思います。

正直、編集してから「ああ、ここもっと補足すべきだった」という点は多々あります。例えば「この国は日本よりゆるい」という点。これはあくまでぼくの経験だけであって、所得や立場によって捉え方が全く異なるかと思います。（例えばシンガポールは最低賃金がないので、ある意味日本の低所得者層は法にも守られている…という見方もあります）
ですので、あくまで「ぼく個人の経験談であって全員がそう感じるわけではない」ということをご理解お願いします。（当たり前っちゃ当たり前ですが、動画で補足し忘れたので）
シンガポールは意外と奥が深くて、長く滞在すればするほど新しい一面が見えたりします。今後、どれだけシンガポールにいるか正直不透明ですが、いまの気持ちとしては「もっと居たい、知りたい」です。

私高校生なんですけど、修学旅行でシンガポール行って、ホテルの非常階段に入ってしまってドアが全て開かなくてまじで焦ったっていう記憶があります笑
日本人は世界で一番自己中心的だと思うけど。他人叩きに合いたくないから自分を守るためにマスクをする、割り込みをしない。自分はそう思うけど。
シンガポーリアンは日本人と比較したら民度は低いと思いますが、香港、上海はもっと低いです。だからリークアンユーは罰金制度を導入したのですよね。何しろチャイニーズにとってお金は名誉より大事だと思っているように感じるので。シンガポールでは少し珍しい犬と散歩していると、横を通った車から窓を開けてその犬はいくらで買ったのか？といきなり尋ねられたことが何回もあります。びっくりです。

Oh yes, people rushing into the train before passengers can alight is one of my biggest complaints too! About the toilets at Chinatown Mrt station – it is indeed the dirtiest pf the mrt station toilets, but if you stop and observe carefully, the crowd using it comprises mainly of Mainland China tourists that are there in Chinatown by the busloads. Part of the reason for the filthy state is because of the sheer volume of traffic, and part of the reason is cultural difference. When I had to use that toilet, I was shocked at the amount of toilet and tissue paper strewn all over the floor. I later came to know that the Mainland Chinese are not used to throwing paper into the toilet bowls as they fear clogging up the system.
民度の話ですが、最近の日本の方がよっぽど民度低いですよ、、、
電車で人にわざとぶつかるやつがいたり、老人に席を譲らないおっさんや若者を良く見ます。中国やシンガポール等どちらかと言うと儒教の国は年配者への思いやりがありますね。。

This is a great video! Be it Singaporeans or foreigners working in Singapore, the majority are good, considerate, law abiding people with a few bad eggs.
Regarding the cost of living, the housing rent is determined by market forces, the higher rent simply reflects the high demand. You can see HDB everywhere, but prices and high rental simply means there is still insufficient units as people are buying and renting faster than what the developers are able to build.
However, if people spend rationally, food, transportation and other costs are actually very reasonable and typically lower as compared to other big cities such as Tokyo or New York.
Thank you for being honest and brave enough to make a video despite the possible controversy and backlash.
日本も今は昔ほど他人のこと考えてる人少ないですよー電車も割入るし、コロナ状態でもカラオケ行くわマスクつけるわですよ、昔ほど民度高くないから、正直、シンガポールみたいに、日本も罰金システムにして欲しい！セルフィッシュに感じるのは、若いジブリおじさんに対してだからですかね？
日本は民度高いとゆう捉え方も出来れば、回りを気にしないと生きていけないとゆう息苦しさ。

個人的に人と対面してるのにスマホいじりながら接する人は苦手ですけどね。仕事じゃなくても。そもそもスマホいじりながらとか効率悪いし。あと賄いなんて個人の食事だから給料が発生する時間帯に摂ることはおかしいと思う。ま、そういうのが嫌な人が他国に行くんでしょうね(´-ω-`) すみません、税金関係でシンガポールがいいとの意見を言われたので、見た迄です。日本の方針に誇りを持ってる人は無理かもしれないな。

I am a Singaporean and I don't like aBout Singaporean is smoking while walk and using their hp while walking is very annoying during the rush hours like you are going to work these ppl will block you😩
It is difficult to compare both countries. I believe the biggest reason we are not able to change the negatives is because we are a country with multiple races and ethnicity. When you have so many different cultures here, combined with different generations of habits, it is going to be challenging changing mindsets (and habits of course). That's the reason why the government takes the "easy route" of punishment every time – hit it where it hurt$ mo$t. My generation (Gen X) experienced the modernization/development of our country the most and we are definitely improving as a whole. The next generation (M and Gen Z) are going to keep it going so perhaps we can see ourselves close to Japan's culture in the future.

Ghib San refers to people being late on appointment as “relax” which is very kind of him. I am a Singaporean and I can’t stand such behaviour, to me these people are simply tardy, sloppy and inconsiderate.

Ojisan, all cleanliness are very much dependable on each and everyone discipline and efforts not to litter, be it a local or tourist or any foreigners. I think SG is the only nation that have the most dustbins available in public areas in comparison to Japan. Frankly speaking , there is no crime free or litter free in this Universe . That why sometime, we do see inconsiderate people breaking the laws, littering only waiting to get caught and fine on top of (CWO) Correction Work Orders.

I think you will find that people in China are selfish. I lived in China 3 years. I never saw a child try to serve his parents at dinner in a restaurant. I see this all the time in Taiwan, HK and Singapore. Because of the 1-child policy, China is full of 'princes' and 'princesses'. The traditional Chinese virtues were destroyed by the Cultural Revolution….

You forget to say Singapore govt is trying to discourage smoking 1) by making smoking expensive, 2) restrict places for smoking 3) heavy fine for smoking in the wrong place, littering etc.
