In this video, we head to the Rocky Mountains in FlightFX’s Cirrus Vision Jet. Taking the aircraft on a trip from Sedona (KSEZ), up to Aspen (KASE).

Once we get the G3000 refresh this will be a real nice airplane to fly. Right now it is limited by the bugs in that system. What I like about this jet is the amazing visibility from the cockpit. Very nice, and I am sure a treat in VR.
I don't believe the vision jet has a speedbrake….
Cirrus made this single engine for a relatively easy step up from their base of Cirrus prop owners who desire a performance increase. Less complicated training, maintenance, etc than a twin jet and much less expensive.
I read they have an auto land system that is supposed to be very impressive.
Thanks for a comprehensive review Capt!
That startup sound sounded like a poor recording. Kind of a shame, but the rest of the jet seemed well done.
This is by far the easiest jet to fly, and thats not a bad thing. I can easily see people jumping from the 172 G1000 to this. It's very easy to fly, and the workload is not that high.
What atc recordings are you using?
Nice one 👍…. handles really well, the systems are pretty good too.
Not my usual type but I really like it.
A bit twitchy on landing. I think you need to adjust sensitivities for pitch and rudder.
Great vid but as usual msfs ruined the experience when we see the land at 26 minutes in is separated with a long straight line and half the earth is dark and the other half is light. As good as msfs is the experience still sucks with ground textures in many places.
Sir can yiu do a video about the working titles g1000NXi
Another wonderful review, really appreciate it! I promised myself to focus on one or two aircraft in the sim instead of buying every new shiny toy, but this one looks really nice, price is decent, so it might land in my virtual hangar anyway. But my heart really belongs to helicopters nowadays, hope to see some 3rd party helis made to the same quality level as the Vision Jet in the future.
Where is the atc sound coming from
Always look forward to your videos well done thank you
How do you move the camera to view from the back seat as you do at 3:52?
Another great review video. Really struck by the all glass cockpit. Looks an amazing aircraft & controls appear to be relatively intuitive & straightforward. As you say, perfect for those short quick hops & a nice gentle progression up from a single prop. Downloaded into my hangar following your review. Thanks. I loved the little touch of having the aircraft's registration on the chocks & the tarp cover. Just seemed a pity that having traveled to Aspen for skiing, it was raining when you arrived & melted the snow! Looking forward to your next review. Cheers.
I know you don't do many review flights in the US, but considering the FAA registration numbers here start with "N", you could use "N2TBS" or a similar tail number just to have a quirky play on words in your future videos. A small detail that would be funny to see
Looks like a 5 year olds toy plane
Thank you so much for this review because I was wondering about this product. You're the best.
possibly answered elsewhere, but what ATC mod is that youre using?
Did they model a worthless AOA making it an authentic rendition?
It's cool to have details like luggage and stuff, but when I spend 99.99% in the cockpit, I wish developers would invest more in persistent save state, working circuits, wear and tear… That's why I find difficult to fly anything than the Milviz C310R. I can't wait for the upcoming A2A plane. (speaking about GA)
Love this..I want to buy it….where to?
Very nice video, great visuals and great timing on the approach to Aspen, beautiful sunset. I think the descent profile was pretty steep but overall good and nice crosswind control.
There are 2 sketchy things I know about the Vision Jet as a rampie and I was wondering if either was modeled. I can tell already that one is not, this being the baggage compartment is unusable due to an oil leak. This leak is from the special oil dispenser required due to how the engine's mounted. You pour a can of turbine oil into this dispenser, which is then able to get oil into the engine. This usually results in half a can of oil in the dispenser for next time. You put the dispenser in a provided Ziplok bag and put this in the baggage compartment. Problem is, the dispenser ain't pressure-proof so blows the oil out during flight, and the provided Ziplok bag dissolves when oil touches it. Thus, the whole baggage compartment becomes awash with oil. The upshot is that all Vision Jets I've met IRL have absorbent pads instead of carpet in the baggage compartment and don't put anything else in there except for the leaking dispenser. So they're all 4-seaters with the baggage behind the rear seats. Also, they have big oil stains down the side of the rear fuselage from the aft lower corner of the baggage compartment door.
The other IRL issue is a bug with the electrical system. If you start a Vision Jet off the GPU, it sheds the cabin heater and and AC, which cannot be reset without shutting down and basically rebooting. So IRL, they use a GPU to fully charge the battery, disconnect the GPU prior to engine start, then start off the battery. Which is good for rampies because, of course, the GPU is on the right side (so as to be out of the way of the baggage door) but the plug is on the left side. So, if the engine was running when you disconnect the GPU, you'd either have to limbo under the very low tail or walk all the way around the front of the plane twice to unplug the GPU. But as the engine isn't running IRL, you can just walk around the tail without having to bend over. |Is this modeled in the game?
A very nice presentation indeed, Cirrus SF50 along with the TBM, is a favourite 'light' aircraft. of mine, I generally prefer traditional 'steam' gauges but the Garmin is on a whole new level for what is a non-commercial aircraft.
A very nice little sweet jet, I have the Honda jet, thanks for this detailed presentation, very nice video, but why are you flying to Aspen airfield with a tailwind? The approach would also have been easier from the other side and especially against the wind, you always land against the wind, at the latest when you saw the windsock on the right in the approach, you should have go-around. HAPPY LANDINGS
What is the mod for the background radio chatter?
your reviews are top tier never a dull moment watching ur vids
Great review! You did say a GPU is not available but I just wanted to make sure that you are aware that this does have a functioning GPU if you bind a key for it in control options!
Weird to me hjet got vnav climb but, no auto throttle this one vice versa both are nice pay ware tho. I’m very new to flight simming hard for me to understand how have people been doing this for years with non of these features modeled or CPU’s capable of giving us these beautiful graphics
If you had to pick between this and the Honda Jet for a small business jet, which would you pick? From a sim add-on perspective, not real ilfe.
videos of people's view while playing VR are awful to watch.
I am not a fan of Tupperware with iPad instruments – but this is so cute. Instant purchase. Winning a couple of times in Lottery I would seriously buy one. Imagine some are so rich, they can buy this toy!!! Amazing that screens are so reliable now – no need for analog standby instruments, not even a whisky compass.
A challenge to figure out ILS. No obs to to set course, and no gs indicator. But it is very simple. Just follow the red command bars. Pure fun. Update – there is blue dot for GS – my last it did not capture it.
As others already said, great review as always. Watching your clips with this sense of professionalism not seen in too many places here on YouTube is truly refreshing 👍
Cheers buddy!
I'm really enjoying this jet so far. And I like the big displays, too. They are fairly easy to read when I use my VR headset.
Just wondering how you get all the atc chatter in the background. Thanks
Another excellent movie, sorry tutorial. Great job as always.Slainte👍
FlightFX are the developers of the vision Jet, the HJet was published through them but not done by them
The jet model looks really nice! Thanks for the review.
