It is also a humectant, which basically means that it holds moisture onto the skin and grabs any other forms of moisture towards it; kind of like a magnet.

The Fresh Mint is used mainly for its antibacterial and antiseptic qualities. It also is what gives cupcake that lovely soothing, tingly feeling on the skin. (Much like Mask of Magnaminty).

After that I mixed in a Linseed Infusion and some Essential Oils.

Linseed is just another word for flaxseed, which is filled to the brim with minerals and vitamins. It is extremely high in vitamin E, which makes it good for preventing or even reducing scarring on the skin.

The essential oils were Vanilla Absolute, which is the world’s first fairly traded vanilla absolute (which we are incredibly proud of) as well as Sandalwood Oil, Peppermint Oil and Spearmint Oil. The mix of essential oils inside Cupcake are purely for its scent!

Then, cocoa butter and cocoa powder were added.

The Cocoa Butter is there for its moisturising qualities. It’s also used to create an emulsion, which is primarily what gives cupcake that lovely silky texture as you apply it to the skin. The Cocoa Powder is used to soften the skin and give it it’s lovely chocolatey appearance.

After all of these were blended together, I popped them into a bowl and added the rhassoul mud and the talc.

Rhassoul Mud is the main cleansing factor in cupcake. It gives a very deep, but gentle cleanse that draws out any impurities in the skin. It is also incredibly absorbent so it mops up any excess sebum on the skin, reduces shine and prevents breakouts.

The talc used is from Eygpt and again, it is primarily use it to add to the smoothness of the product, as well as creating an interesting texture!

x

►Join my members only facebook group all to do with beauty, skincare, confidence: Real Skin Revolution: https://www.facebook.com/groups/RealSkinRevolution/

►SUBSCRIBE TO MY BOYFRIEND, RETROEJIT!
