This is a comparison review of the Costco Kirkland Signature Moisture Shampoo and Costco Kirkland Signature Moisture Conditioner vs. the Pureology Hydrate Shampoo and Pureology Hydrate Conditioner. I’ve seen so many comments saying that the Costco shampoo and conditioner is a dupe for the Pureology shampoo and conditioner… so that’s what we’re putting to the test today. In this video I compare the ingredients, formulation, application, and show my hair before and after using both the Kirkland Shampoo & Conditioner and Pureology Shampoo & Conditioner.

I thought Kirkland was a dupe for Nexxus, which they also sell
I bought it the Costco's brand it has a very strong smell that I cannot even sleep for the strong smell
So what shampoo are you using to go 1 week between washes. I don't like to wash my hair more than 2x a week, but I also get oily hair after a few days.

I have just started using pureology and it's the best conditioner and shampoo I have used. I have used salon and drugstore and they just don't measure up. My hair is soft and shiny and sleek. Pureology is expensive which is my on complaint but also a little goes a long way.
I like the shampoo but the conditioner didn’t work very well for me
Last night I used the Pureology Hydrate Sheer Shampoo after my Olaplex #3. Been thinking about trying that in place of Biolage Color Last. I couldn't use the Conditioner as it was my secong wash for me to use K-18, thank goodness for payments cause it's pricey. I don't care for the smell of the Shampoo. The lingering smell also and I'm not sure if the Conditioner smell makes it better after use. I alternate between Redken All Soft and Biolage Color Last but will wait on the Pureology Hydrate Sheer to be able to use both but and see about the smell. My next try was going to be Amika Kure but I'm trying not to over spend all over as I'm working on my skincare too. I also got diagnosed with a mild case of Seborrheic Dermatitis yesterday as ever since I got back from my parent's in Florida at the end of September my scalp has been dry and flaky. It's been better since then but I thought it initially was just dry scalp from our weather. The prescribed Shampoo I hated and now there's some foam he has prescribed me. 😔
I can see a difference in your hair between Kirkland & Pureology. Your hair looked more softer & hydrated with the Pureology rather than the Kirkland.
Would the Costco one work for keratin treated hair?
What do you think about sillicones in shampoos? I dont use conditioner on my scalp….but shampoo is for my scalp, but i dont like the idea of sillicones in the Pureology strength shampoo staying on my scalp….And does the sillicones in the strength line block the good ingredients in my leave-in en let it stay on top of the sillicone film? I want to try that strength line but i am not sure….amodimethicone is not water soluble as well. Need your advice. 😬
Yo solo vengo por qué recomendaron kirkland mi estilista aquí en méxico los shampoos populares como dove,Pantene etc. Son baratos pero te ofrecen muy poco y no hay resultado aparte de estar probados en animales y si te vas a comprar marca de estética son carísimos Para las cantidades que te venden la verdad se me sigue haciendo caro para 1 litro de producto,pero quede satisfecha no sé si vendan en méxico la otra marca,pero a lo que investigue es carísimo.

I was using Pantene and my hair had dandruff because of how dry the shampoo was leaving me. I switched back to the Kirkland hydrating shampoo and conditioner and there is no more dandruff. My hair smells good. I love it!

When you showed the hair comparison, the second washing (at 14:20) definitely looks silkier and healthier than the first one (at 14:18) did.

Hands up Pureology is number 1. Works great on curly, thick color treated hair and if you need lighter shampoo I suggest the sheer hydrate. Try the conditioner especially in the hotter months and the minty scent and feeling cools you right down. As a stylist using Pureology for 20 years+ I wouldn't trade it except for maybe Aveda

I used Purology Hydrate for about 2 years and switched for a little while to something else. When I decided I wanted to go back I wasn’t super excited about spending $60 on a set of shampoo and conditioner so I found the Kirkland dupes and bought those with high hopes. I can without a doubt say the Kirkland set is the WORST product I have ever put on my head. My hair would feel nice when I was washing it but when I gout out of the shower to style my hair would get so dry little pieces would just start snapping off! The two are just not comparable at all in any way. Please just spend the extra money, your hair will thank you

Don’t look the same, not the same thickness, not the same fragrance, and most importantly not the same performance.
The only thing similar seems to be the color of the shampoo bottle.

WHAT HAPPENED TO KIRKLAND CONDITIONER???? (posted 12 Sept 2022).
It has a new look bottle but is it a new formula? IDK bc I recycled the old one.
I loved the old one (the one you show in your vid). But OMG! The new one is HORRIBLE! My hair was actually sticky in the shower. I usually comb my hair out in the shower to minimize breaks. It was a breeze w/the old one. But the new one, UGH! My comb was constantly snagging in the sticky tangles. No amount of rinsing helped. I would’ve rewashed to get it out but WHO CAN SPEND THE WHOLE MORNING IN THE SHOWER?!?! Taking it back today. This is the second new one going back. The first one I thought was a fluke in manufacturing as it was like paste & wouldn’t even pump out of the bottle. But this time I’m suspecting the new formula is to blame. BTW, I’ve noticed Costco seems to be getting out of the branding business as many of their Kirkland products throughout the store are gone from our Texas location. WHY DO COMPANIES DO THIS TO TRUSTED PRODUCTS?!
