Hair Mask with Coconut Oil and Honey for Silky Hair

When you use coconut oil and honey in a hair mask, these natural ingredients repair your damaged locks, and rejuvenate hair follicles, nourishing the scalp along the way.

You can simply massage coconut oil into your hair or scalp to provide extra moisturization, and support a healthy hair growth.

Coconut oil can penetrate hair follicles to nourish them from within; it can also help remove unfriendly bacteria and stale oils that may interfere with the normal hair growth.

Honey is an ancient hair remedy, which nourishes your hair, and can even lighten your locks!

It repairs damaged hair, giving it the healthy luster. It maintains the proper moisture level in your locks, and serves as a natural conditioner, making your hair softer and silky.

You will need: 1 tablespoon of raw honey, and 1 tablespoon of coconut oil.

These amounts are enough for waist long hair; if your hair is about the same length, don’t use beyond these measurements, as it can make your hair look greasy.

Step 1. Get pure honey and organic virgin coconut oil. Avoid products with additives as they can make your hair too dry or look greasy.

Step 2. Melt the coconut oil if it is solid, then place the ingredients into a small bowl.

Step 3. Mix everything nicely, and your mask is ready. Make sure that it is warm to touch but cool enough to apply onto the scalp.

How to apply:

Wet your hair, and part it into two sections.

Massage the mask onto the scalp for a couple of minutes, then slather it onto your locks.

Be careful at this stage as wet hair is more prone to breakage.

Let the mask sit for 10-15 minutes, then rinse it off with warm water.

Finish by rinsing with cold water to close up the hair follicles.

Once you finished, wrap your hair in a thick towel, and keep it away from heat to prevent its damage.

Tie your hair and cover with a shower cap, so that it can retain the warmth and allow the hair mask penetrate it deeply.
