   I think that if Chanel continues to take care of the dna-heritage of the brand it will always be an evergreen, I don't doubt about that. Virginie is just great in fact she had an incredible master. What today I wonder is that N°5 is turning 100 this year, some gossip about it maybe? Special editions or something?

   I got my first Chanel 30 years ago. Lately I have been looking for a classic and can’t understand the price increase twice within a few months. Might as well save it a bit more for an Hermès.

   Quality has decreased but prices are increasing… my mother bought a Chanel bag in 1995 and it is amazing to realise how the quality has decreased so badly. Shame on Chanel cuz they keep on increasing their prices. At the end people will pay just for a logo CC. 🥺😭

    Hi Dacob, love your videos and your passion to Chanel is infectious. I was very disappointed in the brand for multiple reasons, many of which you touched upon in this video. But your videos revived my love and interest in the brand. I bought a 2.55 after watching your video and I love it. I also love Chanel 19, but couldn’t justify the price. Any thoughts on Chanel 19?

    Yesss, quality over quantity. I’m also focusing more on rtw and other departments because how many bags can someone have anyway. It’s more special to get rtw from Chanel instead of 100 Zara crap. And chanel does have sales which helps. I can’t watch so many youtubers that buy so many designer bags and slg, and then buys clothes at H&M of ASOS.

    I love to listen to this precious man and I wish I had purchased a LV BAG WHEN I HAD THE MONEY BEFORE I HAD MY TRAUMATIC BRAIN INJURY IN 2003 and died 5 minutes. I did have Chanel loafers and their quality was nice I purchased in 2000. I gave them to my daughter in law in 2014 ugh she still does not like me. I do not have Chanel clothes nor a bag. Now it’s too late being on disability but I still wear high end cosmetics and I love that YSL BY TERRY CHARLOTTE TILBURY I LOVE THEY DO PUT THEIR COSMETICS ON SALE AND I AM HAPPY THESE HIGH END COSMETICS DUE PUT THEIR COSMETICS ON SALE. I always adored Chanel way too much. But I am ok without Chanel but I would love a BIG HANDBAG I NEED A BEAUTIFUL BIG HANDBAG AND I LOVE TED BAKER LONDON I WONDER WHAT YOU THINK OF TED BAKER?

    Agree with Dacob. The quality of those big brands bag nowadays doesn’t goes parallel with the price tags. I seen my country’s local brand leather bags serve better than those big brands with reasonable price. Buy local and support local business

    Karl Lagerfeld’s 90’s era for Chanel will always be my absolute favorite. It is definitely still iconic even today, especially since the 90’s fashion has returned. However, I really love what Virginie Viard has done with Chanel. It feels very timeless much like Coco herself. I do believe this is a new beginning for Chanel and I am looking forward to seeing what else Virginie Viard brings to Chanel.

    Buy vintage Chanel now, the quality is amazing and way cheaper. Same with Louis Vuitton, i regret selling my vintage Speedy, i thought i need one with a strap.

    My first perfume fragrance was Chanel Coco EDP I purchased in Duane Reade in NYC it was kept locked up. I still have it & the scent smells identical to the ones now but better in longevity the bottle is made of crystal I saved up & paid my hard earn money @ the time I think it was $80 or $90 for a tiny beautiful bottle. Happy New Year! 🎊

    Honestly I’d rather get a nice quality leather bag in the same style at this point.The classic flap in medium is not worth more than two grand for me. You’re really not getting a lot of bag for your money. Ysl is the best quality for your money you can get in the market. Depends on what you’re willing to compromise I guess.

    I feel the same way. The bag prices are extortionate especially considering the quality. Once the flap bag went above 6k test was it for me, I will purchase used or maybe something very special.

    Both quality and service are appalling. I bought the 21p rose pink caviar medium classic flap, the bag I received direct from the boutique had GLUE on the back of it, stitching was uneven, huge scratch on the hardware. Cannot believe the audacity they had to send such a poor quality bag out to a customer or how it passed quality control. When I emailed Chanel with the pictures, no acknowledgement of their fault or error, just a sorry to hear about your experience, and offer to pick the bag up 3 days later. Not to mention the follow up email to say the bag will be inspected upon return before they can issue the refund 🙁

    After reading the story of Chanel and her house, I will categorically not buy anything. Out of principle. Close Collaboration with the Nazis during the Reich. Disgusting. People have forgotten history or don't want to see the truth. Too bad Elsa Schiaparelli closed her business then. She was clearly a head above Chanel for which she was hated.

    I've always been that way about clothes. Give me one designer coat over 4 from the knock offs. The Trendy bag hasn't gone up in price, and they just released an all silver, so I am adding that one. All I wear is silver and black.

    I cannot tell you how much I enjoy and appreciate your videos, style, personality, kindness, sense of humour…to name a few things! Lol. I’ll admit, I love bags too but my extravagant bags are much less impressive than yours…I saved to get my Coaches, Mulberry’s, Alexander Wang…(now that I know he’s a bad guy, I rethink that bag!) but it’s ok. I still love mine as I save for a Chanel or a Louis but not the original leather Louis, a newer version or an MCM backpack or Mille bag…in pink! Lol. Im happy with my baby bags because I have you and the other amazing handbaggers to live vicariously through! Thank you, Dakob. It’s embarrassing to tell you my brands, knowing the bags you collect, but I feel you’re a safe person to tell! Never lose sight of your bliss… 💗💗💗
