The 2nd guy sounds a lot like Ed Kemper from MindHunter
I live in sweden we have all of this stuff i love this channel
God. The second guy is trying to hard lol
Something I would wanna see is the best leather weekender bags or best grooming bags
Bonjour Messieurs, i hv long interested in man's grooming products.
As a mom of 2 teens boys and a wife of a gentlemen my self 😊
I prefer to fabricated homemade toileteries for them.
From soap, face wash, shaving cream and lotion.
I found that melting cocoa butter, shea butter and jojoba and beeswax (1:1 ratio) added mint eo (0.5%) will produce a great quality of winter lip balm for men. Its provide a very protective layer.
Stay away from all LSL and their generation for hair and face soap.
Yes I agree castille soap is one of the best versatile soap for body care.
Castor oil will provide pretty similar benefit to jojoba oil.
Anyway I write to appreciate your work.
Happy new year Messieurs.
God bless.
EWG are not reliable. They're a nutty scaremongering lunatic fringe group. Beautypedia is much more fact based.
Activated charcoal doesn't "draw out impurities." That's you overactive imagination.
7:39 what is that robotic creature?! “When the need arises (i.e. I need to have a shower ‘cause I stink), I will do a lot of initial research first to make sure I am making an informed decision. If I find that a chosen product isn’t giving me the desired results, I’ll make a change”.
Yup, I am a robot and this is the algorithm I follow 😄
PS: Kraftwerk might need backup personnel.
I’ll try something and if it doesn’t work, I will stop using it”. Way to go genius 🤣
I use a thickening pomade in my hair it smells amazing and has so far the best hold, I use a straight razor for shaving with a tallow shave soap and I use an alum block for cuts it stings but it works and stops bleeding
That's why I appreciate this channel, honest reviews!! I think it's the only one out there!
Kiehl's has a great "Musk body cleanser", been using it for years, sometimes as a shampoo too.. And Indigo Wild out of Kansas City makes great bar soaps, Zum Bars. Their Patchouli scented bar is my usual..
Old guy here–75–and I truly appreciate the focus on 'timelessness' that the GG team advocates–taste and style are items that truly transcend the current obsession with age–at least here in the U.S of A. As do many others here, I appreciate both (a) knowing what the GG team's favorites are, AND (b) their mature position that it is, truly, our own decisions that count at the end of the day: surely our individual choices are an indicator of style, if not always taste! As for what I advocate in terms of product, I am a die-hard fan of L'Occitane shaving cream and apre-rasage balm. I am blessed with a fantastic head of hair, graying still obediently confined to the temples. For me, alternating between a Pantene shampoo/conditioner combo and Johnson baby shampoo works for cleaning. As a dressing, classic Vaseline (when I can find it) or, failing that, baby oil: both contain lanoline and mineral oil which, at the end of the day, is what Vaseline is. My fragrances [depending on time of day] are Polo [green], Tabac, and [wife's favorite] Santos by Cartier. For casual, walks, etc. a simple Mountain Frost Daily Refresher from Bath and Body Works.
Keep up the good work, gentlemen. Glad I found your site.
My dad and my brothers don't know anything about shaving lotion, shaving brushes, and they shave with cartridges. We've never seen anything else in our house. I'm gonna talk with them about this cuz they get bad razor burn every time they shave.
Sven, that picture of you with nothing in your hair looks like that Ancient Alien/UFO guy on TV, lol. Thanks for the video.
Kyle has saved me
Well, surprise surprise – almost none of these are available in Canada (despite some of them being manufactured here).
And with border lockdown, only option is to pay ridiculous prices + shipping on eBay.
I do not use hair products. I have no hair 😛
Non-sponsored videos are the best.
+1 for Prorasso Green, I can't get enough of the smell and feel. Women often come back to smell me when they get a scent too XD
My Guys are getting to right off the products like they off their taxes
Why look for a 'high quality' (i.e., expensive) product when a drugstore version does the job? Also, be warned, Feather blades with a slant razor are quite aggressive and should be used with caution – only really needed for those who have problems with normal blades. I tend to use Gillette Blue (the original type) with a straight-cut razor. My beard is quite hard but, now being grey, this is sufficient for a shave every other day. Truefitt & Hill products are, I agree, excellent.
I really didn't expect the Got2B Glue to be on here. I used to use that stuff for my mohawk back in 2004-2005 during my more wild punk rock days. It makes sense though. It really does a good job of holding everything in place.
Thank you for your recommendation for Aveeno, I tried it and love it.
03:39 my relationship status
How absolutely lovely to see GENTLEMEN discussing grooming products like adults! Straightforward, yet nuanced, mature descriptions of how, when, and what to use on the body, face, and hair. No shaming about having sensitive skin, or needing a moisturizer. Total nontoxic masculinity! I am a fan! Now, if I could only convince my dear husband to do some beard and hair care, so he doesn't get mistaken for a houseless person when in public…
Can anyone comment on whether or not the Feather Yellow Box blades are worth the extra cost (vs. the standard Gray Box blades Sven shows in the video)?
Thank you, Gazette.
I used to use Got2BGlued in high school as well, for spiking my hair. It really is the best product for the price out there, aside from actual glue.
Groom & Clean that's going back. Feather Blades, not even Chuck Norris uses them. I use the Asta. First thing I"m buying is the Styptic Pencil. Heading to the Website.
Bar Soap — you forgot the most important thing – the environment friendlyness compared to buying endless plastic bottles — I use my bar soap till only delicious foam is left from the last grain, I make a point of using this foam on my arms applied by a muslin bamboo washcloth
truefit & hill shaving cream has parabens (they give cancer)
"Aqua (Water), Stearic Acid, Mystric Acid, Potassium Hydroxide, Coconut Acid, Glycerin, Parfum (Fragrance), Triethanolamine, Sodium Hydroxide, Methylparaben, Propylparaben, CI 19140"
Best video of this channel! Greetings from Brazil 🇧🇷
I've noticed that no one uses after shave products. I can glean from everyone's comments that it leaves your skin dry. What would you all recommend for an after shave product. I like the scent that Aqua Velva and Brut leaves. Yes, I am a neophyte when it comes to grooming products. Any suggestions in a future video would be interesting (I haven't perused all your videos, so forgive me if you've covered this already).
Oh give me a break my grandpa just used a bar of soap for everything including shaving he had the nicest hair and softest face😀. Miss you gramps
Hmmmm, I'm sure, the razor, Preston showed in his part ist not Merkur Futur but a Merkur 23C. The Futur is an adjustable 2 piece razor and not a classic 3 piece safety razor… And please Presten, do yourself a favour and clean it. There was a lot of soap resedue ob the bottom of the baseplate….An old toothbrush and some dishwasher detergant will do the trick.
I've been informally studying skin care for a few years, which led me to cosmetic chemistry and product formulation. I have a few issues with some of the products, but the number one rule of skin care is, if something works well for your skin, keep using it.
If anyone wants to do a deep dive into skin care, I recommend LabMuffin's videos and blog. She's a PhD in Australia and explains how and why various products work.
You should try pomade, uncle, it is used for slicked hairstyles. Just pls keep in mind that your hair should be damped (not too wet, or too dry) when you apply, and apply the product from behind to front then comb it backward.
My favorite brand is Suavecito
Thank you : )
About the sensitive skin and post shaving Irritations. I always shave before taking a shower because the warm shower will sooth your irritations and stop bleeding… and… most imprortant… your face is completely clean. After the shower i always use classic Nivea creme. This sooths my skin realy good and it dosent smell so intense like aftershave, because i will be using perfume after getting dressed and i dont want to smell like the perfume section in a Drugstore.
I myself use body wash because I have dry skin and a bar of soap leaves my skin dry and flaky which I do not like at all
Try dr. Bronners. You can use it anywhere. No animal testing. Coconut oil works well too
To make soap bars last longer, remove more water content by removing the packaging, thereby dehydrating them.
Please try Crew pomade puck it's a brownish round puck with blue writing, I use to only use got2bGlued phenoMENal (5+years) like you until I discovered the crew, it does cost 2-3x the cost of got2beglued but is also 2-3x the quality while still maintaining the same hold/shine.
Astringents are better for people with oily skin. If you have dry or sensitive skin a Toner is better. Also, when spraying cologne on your wrist don’t rub it in after it’s applied. I’ve had multiple fragrance people freak out over this
Had a dr tell me never to use bar soaps apparently there really unsanitary
