What’s the difference between Botanical Repair, Damage Remedy and Nutriplenish?

These products are some of the most high performance Aveda has ever made, but choosing the right one can be challenging. Let me break it down so you can make the right choice.

  1. Love your video so simple and sooooo informative. I'm wondering if you can recomend which procuct I should use. My hair is thin, freezy, tangles like it's no one business, flyaways, and falls out alot. I havent done anything to it in almost 8 years, no dies, no chemicals. But my biggest concern it that it breaks and fall out alot, any suggestions?

  2. Thanks for the clarification!!! I had already purchased damage remedy shampoo and conditioner along with the botanical masque!

  3. I have no idea why my hair started to have some breakage, frizz and lacking moisture ( one issue lead into another which lead to another I'm guessing) I definitely need to strengthening my hair. I will try the Botanical line , but I do need to add hydration back into my hair. What mask does Aveda have to offer for fine hair and giving my hair decent hydration? Not unless you can suggest something fit for my hair mess lol. BTW my hair is not color treated.

  4. How does sap moss shampoo compare to nutriplenish? My hair is damaged but it hates heavy protein etc.

  5. Can you do a video on what aveda products are your best choice per hair type if you are just starting to upgrade your hair product game but can't afford to use all aveda level products yet? I.e. is it better to get an aveda hair mask and stick with drug store shampoo or should you switch to aveda shampoo with your drug store conditioner and masks?

  6. Hi, can you please advise me (50 yrs). I have blond, frizzy, curly hair. Very dry. My hair is very different (uncombable hair syndrome). I have used Damage Remedy for years, now I have used the Curly line shampoo and conditioner for the last year. Love and always need the Curl enhancer. But I feel the curly shampoo and conditioner are not enough. I want to choose between Nurtiplenish or Botanical. Or go back to Damage remedy. I get highlights about once every 8 to10 months. I wash once a week and only comb then.

  7. Olaplex (which I am currently using but not going to buy again) has nothing on Aveda love all 3 of these lines so can't wait to go back to Aveda

  8. My Aveda owner had me get the nutraplenish shampoo and the botanical repair conditioner. He said this would give me moisture and repair without proteins. He said too much protein can damage hair worse…mine is pretty broken and damaged.

  9. My hair gets oily quick but the bottom part is dry and I lose a bunch of hair during showers which Aveda products would you recommend?

  10. So sad Aveda discontinued Dry Remedy, it was so good for my hair and Im not finding anything that work. Aveda, please bring Dry Remedy back!

  11. Hi Deron! I do have a fabulous hairdresser who worked for Aveda for many years. She is Nanci Lee Randolph and is in West Hollywood but I still love information gathering on my own… just because I love all things health and beauty! Your videos are fantastic! I love how funny and informative you are! I have been using Aveda since I was 22 years old and Horst still owned it. I love Damage Remedy and Nutriplenish. I do need the moisture but I also have fine hair but lots of it. I haven't tried the Botanical Repair yet but am thinking that it might be good for a once or twice a month treatment. I am thinking I will use the Nutriplenish leave-in conditioner afterwards and am hoping that that will be fine. I will definitely discuss with Nanci next time I see her. Just FYI, I have actually been using a small amount of the Daily Leave-In Treatment then spritzing three pumps of the Leave-In Conditioner and blending them in my hands. The cream is so heavy and thinning it out with the spray-in condition thins it out, making it so much easier to apply and it offers just that little bit of a bump up in hydration and my hair is soooo happy! I have lots of wave and no dryness whatsoever! Love it! Thanks for all the great info and great energy! Are you in Illinois?

  12. hello deron, thank you for explaining avedas haircairs🤗 whats also very important to me is the smell😇can you tell me how the lines smell?

  13. Hi 👋

Thank you for such a wonderful, informative and genuinely helpful video 🙏. I'm keen to understand a little more about the Botanical Repair line and it would be great to hear your thoughts on the below…

    1. Is the Botanical Repair (BR) in-salon- treatment Activator + Additive, a protein treatment?

    2. Could you share, the maximum frequency a customer should have the BR in-salon–treatment mentioned above?

    3. Is it possible to over-treat hair with the Aveda Botanical Repair in-salon-treatment?

    4. To treat high porosity, bleached, heat damaged hair; does the following regimen sound reasonable?

    Every two weeks:
    A) BR strengthening shampoo
    B) Nutriplenish (NP) conditioner- Deep
    C) In salon BR treatment

Daily use of BR leave-in-conditioner and nutriplenish multi oil.

    Many thanks!

  14. Hello! I have long, straight, fine and bleached hair. they are quite dry and damaged but not excessively. I am using the nutriplenish line but I would also like to include a product to repair the damage. which one do you suggest? Thanks 😍

  15. can you recommend a combination of these products for fine, bleached hair? I need strength, moisture and repair.

  16. Hi Deron – thank you for this video – I have fine wavy frizzy hair and I am confused between botanical and nutriplenish. I do root touchups every 3 months.. but hair is not damaged.

  17. Hi Deron, thank you for such an informative video 😊
I have premature grey and white hair at 22 yrs of age
My hair are generally dry with oily scalp at the end of a normal day
Hair seem absolutely life less unless i put almond oil on it which i use regularly before going out
Can you suggest me a shampoo conditioner routine please
Currently i am using loreal proffesional absolut repair shampoo plus mask twice weekly

  18. Thank you for this amazing explanation! I have coarse (“horse-y” beach wavy, highlighted hair. I’ve been using Botanical Repair shampoo/conditioner, Nutriplenish leave in, mouse, and a combination of a serum and anti-humectant pomade.

I bought the travel size of the bond builder and am wondering where it fits into this regimen? If you have other suggestions I’d love to hear them!

  19. Watching this video now cause I just bought aveda botanical shampoo and realised there are so many different types 😂

I’ve been using this for only 3 days and my hair is less frizzy 🥹 less fall off and breakage which is awesome
