It is very easy to handmill soap. Here I do it with homemade soap but you can do the same with store bought, plain, unscented, white soap. Just make sure what you are buying says SOAP on it somewhere. I use pot marigold (Calendula) and Yarrow to make an anti-micrbial soap that is good for wounds but almost any herb, essencial oils, oatmeal, corn meal, honey, sugar, coconut milk…the list goes on in combination can be put into a milled soap to make a person healing soap.

  1. Did you not finish the 2nd part of this video, I can't find it. I really liked the first part , it's very informative.

  2. I've never made soap before but I followed your venison tallow soap recipe. I've got the deer tallow soap out of the mould and cut, just letting it sit. Once the soap is cured and milled could I add lemon juice instead of water before heating? I saw one yayhoo simply add lye to lemon juice but the soap never set as the lye and acids made things go wonky. I really wanted to add lemon and oatmeal to the milled soap.

  3. Absolutely amazing educational value with herbs!! Interesting and helpful. Please continue to make more videos. Thank you
