  1. I'm sensitive to scents also. When I was in my late 20's, I had to stop wearing perfume, as it gave me a sinus headache. I also had to switch to unscented laundry detergent. Right now I'm using Costco's fragrance free laundry detergent. However, I'm okay with smelling natural scents, such as lavender oil or citrus oils. I can also handle conventional cleaners, although I like to use vinegar and water. I was always okay with lightly scented products for my skin and hair, until a few months ago. My skin suddenly turned sensitive, and I developed contact dermatitis around my eyes. I had to switch to completely fragrance free. I was already using CeraVe and Paula's Choice, however my foundation, lotions, shampoos and conditioners were the problem. It's really hard to find fragrance free hair products. I'm currently using Paula's Choice shampoo and conditioner, and Free & Clear. I have one drugstore foundation that I like, and funnily enough it's Covergirl. It's the CG Aquasmooth Compact Foundation. It's fragrance free, and works well for my combination skin. I don't have an issue with blushes, bronzers, etc., and can wear most any lipstick. I also don't have a problem with hairsprays, which is surprising. I discovered that it's common to develop sensitivities to scent as we get older. I just wish more cosmetics and skincare companies would offer unscented options!

  2. Thank you for sharing, lots of useful product information for us that have sensitivities to so much.

  3. I've always been sensitive too, but just a few years ago it started getting much worse. Like sinus infections and headaches, kind of worse. I have been on the hunt for decent hair styling products. These are the worst for me. Have you found any decent root boosters or volumizers? For cleaning products, (I love vinegar and water), but a steam mop has been my go to. This is such a frustrating allergy. It's nice to know I'm not the only one!

  4. Hey, thanks for the reply! I'll have to check it out. I can definitely relate your grocery store experience. I have a lot of trouble with fragrances in the workplace. It's inescapable 😦
