  1. you have such large amounts of ingredients—what do you use it all in? It seems as if you make so much and I just wonder how you are able to use it all up yourself? Or do you sell stuff, or share, or have a big family who use it, LOL!? I'd love to buy all the diff. ingredients, herbs, etc and start to make stuff like I used to but I never seem to use it all before it's expire date or it loses it's efficacy.

  2. Me too, me too!!! When my daughter was young the family kids called it my "herbie stuff". But they always wanted one of my so called cures when something came up, haha! I was always giving stuff away & making people stuff. Lately I haven't been able to buy much but, I am trying to stock up again in small quantities since I don't have a lot of people to make for anymore. I am going back to the old natural me!

  3. Very true! I try to pass it on to people when I remember it also. I'd like to start compiling my special "likes" and printing them out to place in a ring binder. At the moment they are in a sort of messy order in my computer (gotta remember to do that back-up, LOL)

  4. LOL—your kitchen looks pretty organized to me!!! You should see mine! I have a teeny, tiny lil galley kitchen about 6 feet long by about 4 feet wide. Hardly any room to even move!

  5. Whoohoo! Just made my herbal infused vinegar today and stored in a large canning jar.. Currently I use the basic ACV rinse but I never thought about herbal infusing. Thanks again Roots4U45 for your inspiration. Oh! I also included Nettle and Chamomile 🙂

  6. Thanks a lot for the videos. Just a quick question. Is it ok to boil vinegar? Also can I use essential oil instead of the leaves? If so what would be the procedure.

  7. I hv a hibiscus plant. Can i use fresh hibiscus flower petals instead of dried?

  8. Thanks for sharing, I'm making it right now. Never thought i could infuse my ACV with herbs. Stay blessed.

  9. Hey! How much baking soda do you use with the vinegar? My hair came out in the middle of my head about six years ago due to a birth control method and I remember using this scalp treatment by organic root stimulator. I had to add baking soda and this made my hair come back fast, I loved it! I'm making my vinegar now!!!

  10. I have been using this for a few months now, I use it before a mud wash or co-wash. I absolutely LOVE it! My hair has a natural gloss and my hair last a lot longer without drying out! It is one of my staple products! My hair dresser is natural and she uses it on her clients, both naturals and relaxers! Thank you for sharing!!

  11. Thanks for the great receipe. Can you tell me how to use it as a rinse? and also, when you use it in your spray bottle, do you spray it on the hair and then moisturize as normal, or do you rinse it out, does it make your hair smell of vinegar if you do not rinse it out….a little confused as to if this vinegar mixture needs to be rinsed out. Thank you for sharing your receipes and knowledge!

  12. Thank you so much!!! I tried it. I noticed that my hair did seem a little more tangle, but I rinsed it out and added conditioner, and that worked out well. So thanks again,

  13. Hi Roots… I just bought some organic nettle tea herbs/ leaves and I have research the benefits. Can you share some insight on how I can make the infused oil and what I can add to the oil to make it more beneficial for my locs? Thank you very much.

  14. lol love the video, you remind me of minnie riperton for some reason

  15. hmm i think im going to try this recipe. im a new subbie!! first looked at your homemade pomade video then wanted to know more!. you're gooood!!!! love your accent!

  16. I usually use Cassia Obovata powder from India for washing and conditioning my hair, It's good for strengthening and softening the hair also gives it a nice shine. However I'd like to switch up and try this recipe for a change to see what type of results I'll get. My hair is very dry and easy to break. I don't have the herbal leafs but I do have the herbal oils to use in place of the leafs. I also have hibiscus tea bags. I'm hoping this will be just fine.

  17. Hi,

Regarding infused oil, the 20 minutes in the oven is that with everything still in the oil or after you have transferred the oil to another container. I'm learning so much from you, please keep up the good work.
    Thank You

  18. Can you use powders? Have Marshmallow root, fenugreek, cassia and amla that I add to my henna. I was thinking it might make a nice rinse.

  19. Hey Roots, I just tried this wash. I mixed some of the marshmallow root rinse and flaxseed gel for xtra slip and OH BOY it was amazing. I want to do it every week or wash day but I'v been reading that you should maybe just do it no more than once or twice a month. What do you think?  I thank you for your guidance with the recipes and look so forward to trying more.

  20. Hi Roots, Have you discovered coconut vinegar yet?  Bought it a while ago left it in my pantry and didn't take another look at it for about a year or two.  Then I was searching the web and found out about the many many benefits.  In Canada, I by mine at the Chinese grocery store.  It's supposed to be better than apple cider vinegar.  I am going to try your vinegar infusion recipe this weekend using coconut vinegar.  BTW, you have me hooked on hibiscus.  I am always boiling it and adding it to everything.  I even add it when I'm hennaing my hair.  Adds a darker red colour.  Keep making video's I learn so much from you.

  21. Hi Ruth wanted to know if you dilute vinegar when to transfer to your spray bottle or do you use full strength to cleanse hair?

  22. Ms Julie I have been using your onion rinse, herbal leave in, aloe shampoo and seaweed conditioner and all have worked wonders for my hair, I can't thank you enough for sharing your herbal knowledge. Recently, I begun cane rowing my hair, leaving it in for 3 weeks at a time ( I know) only spritzing the ends with rosewater and oil, the result, dry, flaky itchy scalp. Can this be used to wash the scalp while the cane rows are still in? Any suggestions greatly appreciated

  23. Quite timely, 'coz I'm so eager to make my own shampoo bar this Saturday, and I'm gonna make this infusion, too, to rinse down my hair.

    Thanks, Roots…yew are an angel!

  24. Hi there. Can I use Rosemary/Peppermint/Sage essential oils instead of leaves?

  25. Good morning!!! Will the hibiscus stain my grey hair? I love hibiscus but now since I've cut all color off my hair, I'm left totally grey. If it does stain, is there something as good as hibiscus I can use to counteract that staining or to replace the hibiscus? Thank you in advance!!!

  26. Thank you for your response. Will the batch go bad? How do you store your used herbs after you strain it? How long can you keep the used strained herbs before using for next batch? I guess if you had an empty bottle, you could go ahead and have a new batch infusing and rotate that way. I'm excited to use this just hate I won't be able to use hibiscus. I love hibiscus. Thank you for the information you share so freely. God Bless you and your family!!!

  27. Can someone answer me whether I dilute the vinegar with water before applying on my scalp. Or this infused vinegar does not need to be diluted, just put it directly on my scalp. Thank you.

  28. Hey mam I salute you for sharing these remedies and helping others which is awesome thank you and happy holidays

  29. Yes, you can put vinegar in hair indeed, but make sure it is NOT right after you coloured it. It takes it right off and you are left with a beautiful bright yellow/orange on the top of your head. Haha. Do the rinse beforehand. It makes the hair super soft. I remember the first time I bought Apple Cider Vinegar. Boy oh boy, that scent… I opened the bottle and went: oh sweet jezus just take me now!!! LOL! … and they want me to put this on my head? HAHA. I was just mortified to even leave it in the fridge. I didn't think I could do it, but before you know it our noses seem to just adjust!! xx

  30. Do we rinse it off or leave it in? Thank you for all these great videos ❤️
