Hi Steph, beautiful plant! I have a question for you when you have a moment. I recently purchased a prayer plant, about a month ago, but I didn't repot it from the small plastic pot it came in…it flowered and I got 2 new leaves but since then I started getting brown tips. Then I watered a little more frequently and then I got a yellow leave and I'm getting another one. Can you please give me some advice? Should I repot? I live in San Diego, California so I'm not sure how often I should water it. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!
thank you for sharing I thought it would be a good idea to mist it but found out that depending on the water quality it can give dry spots to the leafs
have you posted an update on the prayer plants your propagated? which worked best for you, rooting them in soil or water? just curious as I want to propagate mine 🙂
I have been try to propagate so many plants (some prayers and some other vining ones like devils ivy) and they are not growing roots!!!! How long did it take for you plants to start rooting?
Your Maranta is gorgeus ! I'm thinking to purchase one and i was looking for some care tips 🙂 could you please tell me what method of watering do you use ? Do you underwater it or you just pour water into the pot ?
Mine keeps getting yellow leaves 🙁 I don’t know why? I repotted it, it’s in a terra cotta pot, I have it by a humidifier, and gets the light that it needs. I don’t know what’s going on
I just got a half dead one from Lowe’s that I’m hoping to revive and grow into a full lush and healthy plant! I don’t have experience with this kind of plant but I’m hoping it’ll look like yours one day 😍
That is the most beautiful prayer plant I've seen someone share on this platform, gorgeous! What type of plantfood?? And do u use a humidifier?? Im surprised u didn't mention that, from my understanding high humidity is key for them, also, do u mist it at all??
Hey thank you I’m a new plant parent as of this summer 2020 I need all the help I can get so I’m subscribing to you Can you suggest which fertilizer I should buy this coming spring? I kinda went Calethea crazy & bought like 12
What a stunning plant! I recently bought a red prayer plant and from the day I got it, it started curling up all of its leaves and they went yellow one by one. I took it out of the very wet soil and have it in water to see if I can save it, but I think it’s a lost cause. Do you have any suggestions for what may have caused the leaves to roll up and die?
WOW!! That is a Beautiful Baby. This is My favorite plant in My collection. So much so that I have 4 Lemon Limes, and 1 Red Fantastic. It’s been slept on by Many Folks Whom believe You have to spend big Chips for a Beautiful plant. In the US for such a similar plant I have seen at Lowe’s or other BBS’s for 14 bucks. Here in Germany just a 2 leaf cutting cost 25€ or 28 bucks!! Such a plant cost almost 200 bucks. I have 1 as a hanging plant in a Westerly window, and the others are spreading out, loving Life through the Apt. It’s also important to turn the plant. I turn mines every 2 weeks to insure that it grows round. Very beautiful and full. Although they grow fast I’m assuming this one’s not too old? I don’t see that You’ve taken cuttings? She knows that She’s Loved. Nice video.

How often are your waterings? Once per week? 2 times per week?
What is the humidity % where you live? That might have a lot to do with it
Wow! It is beautiful!
What soil mix do you give your prayer plant?
I just potted my prayer plant in a self watering pot what do. I clean the leaves with and can I also decorate it with gravel
Beautiful progress I'm trying to revive my plant. It has a couple of dead leaves but it's still growing.
