Be your own perfumer!
Reagents and equipment: small spray bottle, 10mL unscented base oil (such as almond oil), orange zest, cinnamon sticks, anise, glitter.
Pour the base oil in a small spray bottle, add some orange zest, a cinnamon stick, a piece of anise, and glitter. Mix thoroughly.
As essential oils are soluble in fats, the oils in the orange zest, cinnamon, and anise dissolve in the base oil. The process of dissolving certain substances from a solution or dry mixture in a suitable solvent is called extraction. The previously-unscented oil now has a pleasant natural aroma. Their lightness and subtlety set them apart from alcohol-based fragrances. Experiment by adding whatever you want to the base – for instance, visit a spice shop or buy your favorite fruits.
Safety precautions: Do not eat! Do not ignite! Do not apply to clothing; the oils will leave greasy marks! Possible allergens.

  1. So no preservatives mixed with food products? Sounds totally safe…esp. if kept in a bathroom or somewhere where any type of moister can accidentally get in it…I love that there’s not even any anti-microbials in it either. Yummy, love some extra bacteria 😊 sarcasm

  2. Raw cinnamon will burn your skin unless its diluted, also the oil will make your skin all greasy feeling. Plus the zest and sparkles have a chance of clogging the part that the perfume goes through. Remeber CINNAMON UNDILUTED CAN CAUSE SERIOUS SKIN BURNS AND IS HIGH RISK OF CAUSING A ALLERGIC REACTION OR BURNS, DO NOT USE UNLESS DILUTED CAREFULLY. ANY ESSENTIAL OIL THAT ISN'T DILUTED CORRECTLY CAN HAVE THE SAME AFFECT.

  3. Those glitter are bad for the environment. They should be banned.

  4. To men this stuff smells so much better than the stuff made from whale vomit.

  5. Thanks for the video. But could you please tell me how long does it take for the scents to infuse and be ready for use? Thanks again!

  6. I tried this step by step and it does not work unfortunately. The smell did not come through.

  7. what if i want to add to the oil another liquid that has aroma to make the perfume?

  8. Most of those ingredients cost more than 1 small spray bottle lmao

  9. Small particles will block the atomizer. You need to put in strained thin liquid.

  10. Shouldn't you boil on low heat the oil to better extract the aroma and then strain it before going to the spray bottle?

  11. Apart from the more important things everyone else pointed out, don't rub the perfume after you spray. It ruins the performance

  12. if there was such thing as an uncle roger for perfumery, this would be like watching jamie oliver
