  1. My project pan journey is more just to ensure I use what I have that I like rather than saving it for a "special occasion". I tend to want to save my more impactful colors/glitters and not use them daily, but then rarely use them. So now I'm just going all out and using everything, even if I have no where to go lol.

  2. I tried project panning and it caused so much unnecessary anxiety for me thinking I wasn’t using everything as much as I should. What I started doing instead is writing down all my products and everytime I use to I add a tally. It has helped me realize what I enjoy using and what doesn’t get touched that I either need to declutter or give another try. That has helped me use my makeup in a way that is still informing me about my usage without the stress!

  3. I like empties videos but I think a quarterly empty/project pan update would be fun!

  4. Hey Lauren! Great video and honestly.. great month of videos!! I've totally been vibing with all your content lately. So much so that I'm really going to miss it once the month is over and I'm gonna have to wait longer for a new video 😭😭

When it comes to empties videos.. honestly, I never watch them and actively avoid them lol. (Even with this one, I only clicked into it bc you had "project pan" in the title.) Mostly bc they're usually skin care heavy, or like toothpaste or perfume and other non-makeup related stuff and I'm generally not interested in those things. To me, those things are so personal and I've never found anyone whose likes closely mirror mine so there's really no point in watching. Now, if you did like an end-of-the-year makeup only empties video, I would TOTALLY be down to see that one! I've never seen a video like that, it would be super interesting. Like, say a person started a full face of all brand new products (not new to the market, just freshly opened) and 12 months later showed how much they had used or which ones they had used up (or say a product "went off" before the end of the year and couldn't be used up)… yeah, idk.. I just think that would be cool to see. I always thought I was in the minority about not liking empties, so to hear that you're kinda over it too, really surprised me (in a good way, of course!)

Anyway, hope you had a great weekend and that you and your loved ones are enjoying your holiday season!

  5. I’ve been doing a project10uses for most of the year! I got 6 items, 3 are full palettes and 3 are specific pans from different palettes, and I use them 10 times and then roll in another item. My first goal is to have had all my palettes in the project, my second goal is that all my palettes have been rolled in as full palettes, and then the end goal is that all pans have had their 10 uses in the project. It’s about using all my eyeshadows (I’m planning to incorporate my singles after hitting my first goal) and everytime i rolled in a palette it’s about deciding if it’s still deserving space in my collection (and most of them are, I haven’t decluttered much). It’s really fun to have different palettes in these different combinations. And I’m allowing myself to use whatever I want as well.

  6. Maybe you could do one of those 'Project Use certain items times x' next year in a rolling pan version. I think that would give you the freedom to use other stuff on a regular basis but still pushes you to use old stuff certain times as well.

  7. I’m a fan of empties because it shows what people are actually using rather than trying 3x and talking about in a video because they got it in PR. You should do what makes you happy and based on analytics I’m probably in the minority here. Does seem like the channel is shifting to be more consumerist than it used to be which is a bummer.

  8. It's funny, when you were talking about the Cover Girl brow pencil, I looked at your brows and thought to myself "wow, they look way better than normal". TBH, I think whatever you've been using is too dark and a bit too warm/reddish. Whatever you did for this video looks more balanced and not so heavy.

  9. oh i 100% love empties, but i totally understand where youre coming from. totally ok with quarterly empties or just make up specific ones or whatever you choose to do 🙂

  10. I love empties, but if you aren't loving them anymore, don't do it!

Not that this has anything to do with the hair dye, but Love-a-lot bear is my favorite care bear.

  11. I personally love empties. Something to keep in mind if youre worried about always having the same empties, remember that you get new subscribers all the time and just because you know youve talked alot about it, for many people watching it will have been their first time hearing you talk about it

  12. I think my interest is in any update worth mentioning, it doesn't have to be an empty.

  13. For the empties just take a picture of your empties for the month and save all the pictures and then you can share them at the end of the year. That way you don't have a bunch of trash at the end of the year and you can still share what you finished.

  14. I love empties personally! But you do what you want with it, it's your channel and I won't complain 😉

  15. I like empties maybe 2-3x a year, maybe a seasonal/quarterly empties? And I personally like to hear about everything -toothpastes, shampoos, etc lol. It’s basically a review whether the product is worth it or not so I like the idea about the worst and best only – I’m not really interested when something is just meh or okay. I also love project panning content but it really depends on the size of someone’s collection – I feel like if you’re buying and reviewing things consistently then project panning is a little unnecessary. I like the idea of a usage based project, like “I want to use these products 10 times to get my thoughts on them” intro video and once you hit your goals it’s another video with your thoughts on the product and if you were able to hit the usage goal. 🙂

  16. Im done with Sol De Janeiro now that they are part of L'occitane. I'm not supporting MLMs

  17. Maybe next year for a project pan you can have 5 rolling products that you focus on using up and 5 products that are usage based. That way you can still work through those products you need a push to finish up but you can also keep playing with your makeup stash and get use of your whole collection 🙂

  18. I love the idea of rotating through your palettes and enjoying what you have as a goal. Something I am working on too.

  19. Love the empties and also love the idea of tracking the pallets you use over the year! Great video Lauren!

  20. I’m so bummed to hear you don’t like the glow recipe cleansing balm! It’s like my new holy grail.

  21. Instead of always including the stuff you go through regularly, could you do a 1x or 2x a year talking about products like that?

  22. I think a general use project makes more sense than a pan… particularly when we have large collections

  23. I think just using products & making progress with using them, but not trying to use them up or hit pan is better cuz you’re not putting pressure on yourself. You can just enjoy it!

  24. I love watching empties but the videos but I prefer they stick to makeup, skincare, and hair products.

  25. i love your empties and project pan vids! good to know what is bad or what you repurchase 🙂

  26. I LOVE empties!! I get so excited to watch them from my fav YouTubers. My favorite ones are the ones where EVERYTHING is included; toothpaste, laundry detergent, nail polish remover, facial cleanser… everything!!

  27. i love empties but if you are feeling you need a change up do it

  28. I love empties videos but really only for makeup perfume and skin care, aka stuff that really takes longer to use up and your opinion can really change on as you go through it. So if you cut back or change your empties I absolutely get it, it seems like a lot to save all these things!

  29. I do like empties but I hear you on shifting the approach. Maybe a tier list? That could be a fun way to compare products if you’re afraid it’ll get too similar

  30. If I took a shot every time she said I don’t know, I’d be in the hospital getting my stomach pumped. I’m a cheap drunk but still lol
