ALWAYS make sure you put through a Soap Calculator before using! The oils/butters are given in percentages so you can make any size batch you like by just inputting those percentages into a soap calculator as well as the size batch you would like. I soaped this formula at 38% lye liquid – Super Fatted 5% up front in Soap Calc “Plus” another 5% after the cook. Sodium Lactate at 5% of oils and I “did not” discount this amount from my lye liquid.
———
Formula for 2lb batch:
Castor Oil – 17%
Coconut Oil (76 deg) – 14%
Hemp Oil – 2%
Lard – 31%
Palm Oil – 16%
Pine Tar – 13%
Olive Oil – 7%
I used a Tea Blend of: Bladderwrack Kelp, Calendula, Licorice Root, Plantago Major/Plantain.
I also used Oat Milk, Coconut Milk, Jasmine Rice Milk (some in the cook & some after the cook).
I added Mulberry Silk Top Grade AAA to my lye liquid & dissolved completely.
2 tsp of Kaolin Clay added to warm oils before lye.
2 Tbsp white sugar mixed with 1.5Tbsp ACV(completely dissolved) added hot after the cook.
2 Tbsp yogurt added room temp after the cook.1 tsp. White Kaolin Clay to the oils before the lye liquid.
Added 1.5 Tbsp of glycerin heated after the cook.
2 Tbsp Honey & 1 tsp Vitamin E Oil, mixed with 2 Tbsp AVJ, added warm after the cook and when the temperature of the batter was around 165F.
This formula is loaded with goodness, lovely lather and feels incredibly silky on the skin, conditioning & low drying. Made with ingredients to help ease the symptoms of those with irritating skin conditions.
Please enjoy, I appreciate that you do not sell this formula as your own or at all, Share it !

Look forward to your video's!!!!
The soaps you made yesterday kind of look like dark chocolate. Made me hungry. lol
Sounds like your 13% pine tar soap turned out really nice! I like that you were able to work with your soap much longer than most people who do cold process. Usually the trace accelerates at lightening speed so you just have time to stop mixing and plop it in the mold. You mentioned your mulberry silk grade AAA that you got from your friend. I followed the link she gave for the place she got it (different post, I think it was on SNIF) and that company has new owners who do not carry it anymore. I did mention that there were probably going to be a lot of people looking to buy some, but they seemed just not interested in getting it in stock. 🙁 Hopefully there is another company who carries that. I'm really looking forward to trying some! 🙂
Thank you for the video , Val 🙂 Love pine tar soap
This looks amazing, Valerie. You are looking fabulous, if you don't mind me saying(weight loss). I hope all is well😊❤ I'm forever admiring your creations on the Micas and More Group page. I love doing cold process, but you are giving me an itch to try hot process someday.
Ohhh Valerie, you look like a teenager with that clothing and your wild hair to the air 🙀🙈😍🌹. Warm regards from Barcelona SPAIN

Hi there..what a SUPER vid..Thankyou for sharing ..Im a total beginner but it is my aim to eventually get to Hot Process soaps ..at the moment Im just doing CP and Ive just finish making Pine Tar soap..so I will definately be trying your recipe when I feel Im advanced enough to try HP.. can I just ask you where you purchased your beautiful silicon soap moulds from especially the hearts and flowers.actually I adore all of them ..once again Thankyou so much for sharing ..your vids are something that inspire me
What an amazing person.
Can you please do a beer recipe as well.
I like the color and rustic look it gives
Thanks Valerie, for another great video!
Hello. Do you feel like adding the glycerin made it have a sticky feeling after washing the soap off?
So you were saying the almond extract was used to loosen the batter up ?
How much beeswax did you use? Did you add it upfront with your oils? This is the best pine tar video on YouTube.
My most favourite , much love
