I appreciate brands with their own recycling programmes and packaging. Every little bit counts!
I like it when brands make an effort to have environment-friendly packaging!
1) Eco friendly packaging that is refillable and recyclable packaging
2) Eco friendly formula which does not have ingredients which harms the environment
3) Short (understandable) and clean ingredients list
I look at their packaging, and what kind of sustainable/recycling programs they initiate/are part of.
I choose my beauty products with the following in mind:
1. Organic ingredients(without the use of chemical, pesticides including parabens, sulphates, silicon as I have sensitive skin)
2. Eco-friendly (recycling program with perks of points accumulation)
3. Cruelty-free or vegan beauty
Cruelty-free is top of my list! I care more for the voiceless animals than anything else.
Also, if it helps the vulnerable community via ethical or fair trade, I'm all for supporting the brand!
Sustainable packaging – one of the most important steps to reduce packaging waste. Reduce, reuse and recycle.
I love brands that make an effort to have environment-friendly packaging. Save the environment, save the earth!
Cruelty-free is very important too as we have to care more for the animals.
Sustainable packaging is our responsibility to put the planet first and towards a greener planet!
I prefer to go for brands that can refill or recycle their products. It makes me feel better to do my part for the planet!
Refillable packaging definitely stands out to me the most! I also love looking through the ingredient list to see if the brand uses ingredients that are harmful to the environment
I like beauty brands that think of our mother Earth. I like brands that promote sustainability and inspire consumers to be part of their sustainability campaigns.
I also look for the ingredients and the function of the products. As much as I can, I will try to look out for cruelty-free products.
I look for refillable packaging to cut down on packaging waste. I also try to support brands with recycling programs too 🙌

Refillable packaging is really great it can help us reduce wastage! Cruelty free is very important so that animals are not harmed.
It’s great to see brands becoming more sustainable. If they can change their production process to work towards zero waste, that would be the best way to go forward!
I tend to gravitate towards products that have refillables. Also really appreciate when products make it easy, and even encourage, recycling with the smallest things like making labelling minimal and easy to peel off (:

Eco-friendly packaging for the win!
Being able to buy refills, able to recycle their containers , their containers are biodegradable or have minimal packaging to minimise waste, products are from naturally sourced materials
I look for the brands that do not overpackage, uses clean & sustainable ingredients and put in real actions to support reduce – reduce – recycling efforts!
These are my considerations:
1. Packaging with zero waste
2. Cruelty free
3. Ethical sourcing
4. Vegan
5. refill program for existing containers
Because an little steps in the right direction can make a big impact! 🌎
I always follow the rule: ✨reduce, reuse, recycle✨ (And in that order!)
Reduce📉: It’s about QUALITY, not QUANTITY!! Buy only what is necessary. I invest in quality, cruel-free products that work for me instead of jumping onto a different bandwagon whenever there’s a hip, new brand.
Reuse⭕️: Reuse the packaging! Jars/ tubs can be used as accessory storage, reuse facial wash squeeze packaging for detergent.
Recycle ♻️ : When you really have to throw the packaging, rinse it out nicely before recycling!
I look out for eco friendly packaging. I don't need the products to be packed in lots of plastic as it is not environmentally friendly. I usually buy in bulk and refill in smaller bottles myself. I also support brands which have recycling initiatives, as it allows me to return used containers to be made into other products.
Making efforts to choose brands which subscribe to ethical practices in production and sustainability, cruelty-free, and participate in recycling programmes such as the L'Occcitane green initiative! 🙂
It’s important everyone do a little on their part to contribute to a sustainable earth.
I definitely support beauty brands that have consciousness for the environment! E.g. brands that have sustainable packaging/using recycled materials or refillable packaging for their products. I also love products that are cruelty-free!
I do my best to look out for eco-friendly packaging or products that comes in refill packs! When a product has those qualities, I’d be more inclined to purchase 🙂 This way, I can reduce the need to have extra bottles/tubs of plastic lying around. And instead of just throwing away empties, I participate in L’occitane’s Big Little Things program as I think it’s very meaningful that a brand is so conscious about the environment and does its part to recycle beauty empties. Lastly, I reuse some beauty empties and repurpose them for something else. Like for spray bottles, I sometimes pour another brand’s toner into it and use it as a toner spray ^__^ or for mask tubs, i put my trinkets in it (i mean, some mask tubs are very pretty!! like the Fresh ROSE deep hydration sleeping mask tub that has a divider down the middle :))
I love how l’occitane has initiatives & sustainable efforts so we can reduce the use of plastic waste by buying refills & using refillable bottles, we can no doubt also save more & spend less while saving the earth, one small step can lead to big changes & we can all do our part for the earth by practicing sustainability in our daily lives 🌎💕
When choosing beauty brands, I try to pick those who use natural and sustainable ingredients. It’s a big plus if they use eco-friendly packaging materials and processes. I’m impressed particularly by L’OCCITANE’s responsible efforts to encourage recycling not just their bottles but other brand’s containers as well. Some brands accept only theirs and not even all of their products. I’m equally excited to try their refill fountains. Bravo, L’OCCITANE, well done!
When shopping for beauty products or any items in general, I look for products that meet the following CSR
Cruelty Free – no animal-testing
Smart packaging – meaning they create minimal waste and are well-designed
Recyclable
Eco-friendly and sustainable packaging are definitely the way to go now as we are currently going through a serious climate crisis globally. We need to start somewhere to make a better planet for our children and theirs.
I do make a conscious effort to buy and use only beauty brands that use natural, sustainable ingredients AND packaging! L’occitane definitely inspires as they not only employs sustainable sourcing- working in partnership with farmers to ensure the ingredients sourced are ethical and for the social fabric of the locals, as well as guarantee the quality of ingredients through appropriate growing, harvesting, storage and drying techniques ❤️
I usually look out for the ingredients and packaging. In terms of sustainability, I prefer to be able to recycle the packaging such as bottles, hence I’m also a supportwe of Loccitane’s effort in recycling through Big Little Things. Collecting my stamps. 😉
I am more keen to use beauty brands with products that have eco friendly packaging and sustainable source, ingredients. Products with refill pack is even better! So I keep myself clean and pretty but doing a part for Earth 🌎
