I just get a tretinoin script from my bulk billing GP. The tube costs $25. I think the brand my chemist provides is called A-Sevia. I really got the uglies when I started tretinoin even though I'd been using Vitamin A products for 15 years prior.
most excellent. I love that Dermologica exfoliant. I'd be keen for a Paula's choice video
I'm doing the same project! I'm struggling with masks too and with makeup samples, foundations in particular!
Having a 0.1% compared to a 1%, not necessarily a 10th of the effect, depends on the formulation – the way the product is formulated.
I use the masks in the shower when I also wash my hair. I wash my face first then put the masks and rinse IT ar the very end.
Yes please to Paula's choice! I finally got around to ordering the expholiant on your recommendation can't wait to try it
I reuse the Paula's choice mini size! You can take the stopper out and put it back in. I have been using it for at least 3 years now!
The whole stopper on the PC Bha pulls out and you can refill that mini. I use a small funnel to make it less messy but be sure to keep that nifty little bottle.
I just finished my Origins Plantscription moisturizer and have three or four samples that I want to finish before I buy my next moisturizer. I want to try the peptide booster by Ole Hendricksen and the Vitamin C serum and moisturizer. One for day and one for night. I might buy all of them since my serum was already finished last month and I haven't got anything to replace it with. I have a Laneige essence which also has about a week until it finishes up. Have you tried any Ole Hendricksen, Kat? Great job on all the progress, especially since you were worried on the number you had. Cheers :).
I loved the microfoliant during the long lockdown #2 in melbs in 2020, to combat the maskne. I went on to really enjoy the pineapple powder from good molecules that is very similar during the long lockdown #5?6! of 2021. I was working outside the home, in a mask and sweating etc a lot (I work with animals) during all lockdowns and even though I had some texture from that much mask wearing and sweating, those powder cleansers a few times a week really helped my dry ass sensitive skin 👌
Tarte's skincare line, Awake, has a 2% retinol oil that is AMAZING. Their whole line is surprisingly good. If you can get your hands on it I'd give it a try. If not, reach out-I will send you a little sample vial of it. Bonus is that it smells like Thai food, if you are into that!
I would love to see your thoughts on Paula's choice I recently brought the bha based on your reviews keen to see what else I should be adding 🤣
Yes Paulas choice review xx
Please do a paulas choice review! Love hearing you opinion on different products!
Yeah MAC really need to address the elephant in the room with that spurty spray bottle. Just change it, everyone knows it sucks! I mentioned it at a MAC counter once and was told “well not every product will suit every person” my response was “the product is great it’s the packaging that has the issue”.
Could you use the masks in the shower? Put them on before you go in then wash it off in the shower. Or even put them on in the shower and wash off at the end. That way your not washing your face at the sink multiple times. I also hate that about wash off masks, they're too much maintenance for someone as lazy as me 😂
I like using the Mario badescu enzyme cleanser by putting a decent layer on and leaving it for a minute or so before wiping it off with a cloth. Ive found that it helps to break down my black heads pretty well 😊
Yes please do a Paula’s Choice review-perfect for the upcoming Sephora sale!
I stumbled across the Daily microfoliant this past year as well and LOVE IT. I have combo-dry skin and frequently have flaking from using retinols and this has been a life saver!! It doesn’t irritate my skin at all or dry it out more and my makeup sits waaaay better (I use it ~ every other day, and use lactic acid the alternating days).
Re: NIOD fractionated eye contour – I’ve seen super variable reviews. Seems like it either works for folks or not at all, typical of all skincare. I have aging eyelids that are becoming hooded from sagging and I found after a SINGLE use there was a noticeable decrease in the hood-ed ness. Years later and it still makes a difference if I use it or not. It does have a 6 month lifespan and I’ve noticed a distinct color change after 6 months. I also have terrible dark circles and millia which I’ve had all my life and it doesn’t make any difference for those, nor a significant difference for my baby crow’s feet.
I'm trying to work through my face masks and can't be bothered with the whole washing then applying either. What I do instead is wipe my face down with a micellar water or simple toner (usually witch-hazel) then apply mask right before getting in the shower. If it requires being on the face longer then I just do my best to not wet my face before it's time lol. Sometimes I just don't care and apply the mask (usually the ones I don't care too much for) without toning first. I figure better to use it then let it go to waste.
I love the dermalogica micropholiant it's an amazing enzyme exfoilant it works great in the shower with steam cause the steam activates it ,I think it's good for all skin types. I was watching a dermatologist that said to put it on and rub around for 1 min then leave on a min or so In the shower for best results. U did great on the mini P.P. the Paula's choice 2 % liquid last forever I had the full size for a year and I'm just gonna repurchase the travel size cause it last so long.
You can remove the clear stopper from the Paulas Choice travel container and refill it. I have been doing it for years, just take a blunt slim knife and plop it of.
It's quite easy to pull out the stopper on the mini Paula's Choice BHA bottle and refill it! 😊
With minis and full-sizes I am finished 23 products INCLUDING A LIP PRODUCT and I super struggle with those because I love variation in lipsticks
I started using the Paula's choice 2%BHA toner on your recommendation and it has help clear my cystic acne up. Literally nothing else I have used over the past 15 years has had this long term impact. Thank you.
I'm trying to do a perfume sample project pan, it's…. going slowly! Some of these suckers last a long time.
YES, to a Paula's Choice Recommendations!!!! And how do you get your hair to do that?
You just convinced me to get the Paula’s choice mini BHA for travel. That cap needs to be on all liquid products.
I’m struggling with serums and actives right now. I did have a brain tumor removed. My incision is side of head down onto half my neck. For the past 3 weeks I have done a very basic skincare routine.
Also realized I don’t have many mini moisturizers.
I use the Dermalogica superfoliant when I feel like my skin is looking a bit dull but I do have extremely dry skin so I don’t use it too often. I also reuse the Paula’s Choice travel bottles and I agree, the packaging is so good for travel.
I love the Dermalogica Daily Microfoliant. Would you say it’s worth getting the Paula’s Choice BHA and alternating them?
Definitely here for a Paula’s Choice range review!! Really looking to add certain things to my routine, and people rave about their stuff. Also, the dermalogica microfoliant is one of my hero products and the first deluxe sample I ever received and tried (with an adore beauty order). I took it with me on my very first trip outside NSW and so it also reminds me of that, love it.
The only way I can use masks is when taking a bath. I wash my face then put it on 10 minutes before I know I am getting out. I have decided that masks are a fantasy self item and now don’t buy them anymore, working through the last one and then that’s it thankfully 😅
Love the reviews as well. So helpful
Paula's Choice is one of my favorite skincare brands. Would love a video about it and also how you use them in your routine.
Please do the Paula's Choice review! That would be so helpful. I've been debating getting their retinol for a year now!
Yes to a Paula's choice review please!
I love Paulas Choice, would love to hear your thoughts!
Try putting the face mask on before your nightly shower. I like to take baths, so I put the mask on when I get in and wash it off before I get out. I also try to do my masks on weekends when I am not wearing makeup.
