(MS.N), opens new tab傘下のオンライン証券イートレードが、実業家イーロン・マスク氏が率いる宇宙開発企業スペースＸの新規株式公開（ＩＰＯ）において、個人投資家向け株式販売で主導的役割を果たす方向で協議が進んでいる。事情に詳しい２人の関係者が明かした。

(SOFI.O), opens new tabも名乗りを上げているが、関係者によると、スペースＸは両社に業務を委ねない考えだという。
一方、イートレードの親会社モルガン・スタンレーは、スペースＸのＩＰＯ全体の主幹事金融機関の一角を占める見通しで、イートレードを通じて米国の個人投資家に販売する相当量の株式を確保できるとみられている。
イートレードにとって、スペースＸのＩＰＯで中心的な役割を果たせれば、近年ロビンフッドやチャールズ・シュワブなどと市場シェアを巡る競争にさらされてきた中で、大きな成果を得ることになる。
