👻 FOUNDATION GUIDE!

▸ UNDERTONE – My undertone is neutral leaning yellow. I have a hard time finding a perfect match because my undertone is a bit more gray. However, I’ve found that purchasing yellow-toned foundation is workable, whereas if I purchased a pink-toned foundation, it’s very obviously too pink for my skin tone.

▸ BEST FOUNDATION MATCH – BH Cosmetics Naturally Flawless Liquid Foundation in ‘201 Ivory’ – Very neutral in tone

▸ ANOTHER GREAT MATCH – The Makeup Store Sculpt Excellence in ‘Cotton’ (very olive-toned, can look very green on someone with pink/red undertones)

▸ OTHER MATCHES IN POPULAR FOUNDATIONS

•Tarte Rainforest of the Sea – Fair Neutral (also a near dead match for me) – very neutral, almost gray-toned. Can look too yellow on someone with pink/red undertones.

•MAC – NC 15/20 – Can look quite orange on me; NW can look pink. MAC doesn’t have a foundation with my exact undertone.

•L’Oreal True Match – W1 – A bit warm and dries down darker than it goes on, but still a decent shade match.

•IT Cosmetics CC Cream – Fair – Very, very yellow, but workable. It can also appear quite gray due to the high amount of physical SPF, especially for someone who has pink/red undertones.

•Too Faced – Snow (a bit yellow/peach but still wearable)

•CYO – 101 (a bit too cool; wrong tone, but the right shade)

• Wet n Wild MegaCushion Foundation – Light Ivory – somewhat yellow to peach toned, but a very good match for me

  1. They reformulated the Cerave Facial Moisturizer (last year?), so if you previously had no troubles, that might be why.

  2. My go-to moisturizing foundation is the Physician's Formula Healthy Foundation, it's skin-like and wears really well. The downside to it is that the shade range is Not Good TM

  3. What’s your favorite deodorant? I avoid the aluminum too, but because they cause painful lumps in my pits. I thought I had cancer in my lymph nodes, but it was just from my antiperspirant. I prefer the Arm & Hammer brand from Walgreens, Target etc.

  4. OMG I've never seen anyone talk about the Beauty and Planet body washes and COULDN'T AGREE MORE!!! I have it in a different scent, and it feels like I'm putting lotion on?? It's so weird lol. Glad to see someone else who hates it 😂😂😂

  5. Congrats on panning the products. I have a really CRAP, 35P, Eyeshadow Palette. Love some of the shades but the formula is just CPAPOLA!! I am going to add a drop of Argan Oil to each color I want to save, dig it out of the pan and repress into some little pots. Also going to attempt to make a couple custom shades and repot them. Will see how it goes!! I am not loosing anything if it fails. Cant successfully use them as they are.

  6. Hey, I know you're super keen on environmentally friendly alternatives — so I'm a little shocked to see you using makeup wipes which are AWFUL For the environment. Try a micellar water or makeup remover with a microfiber cloth! Cheap, easy and way better for the environment with less waste! <33

  7. Whoa, thanks for sharing that info on the makeup wipes. My fiance always gripes about her skin burning from makeup wipes (and it's been SO consistent – every time i'm like "these too?! AHHH!") I'll definitely try those!

  8. GIRL. Clinique your skin but better glow.
    Life. Changing.

I'm normally a NC10 or 15 in mac, and breeze is a pretty good match!

  9. I freaking love your intro music! Don't change it please. 🙏 I really like glycerin but I've heard that when used too often or in high concentrations it can cause breakouts bc it is comedogenic. 😞 So it most likely is what broke you out… And now I want a chocolate orange! 😄 I can't pan a full sized blush to save my life which is why I keep stopping myself from buying the BH 10 pan palettes, same with bronzer/contour.

  10. 16:40 What a coincidence… This is the EXACT ceremony I go through before devouring a candy bar. The "great beyond" being my stomach.

  11. When you do get around to making an official intro is there any chance you could not use the flickering effect in the current one? Flashing/flickering lights are a big migraine trigger for me and I have to skip over the intro every time. Sorry to be a bother, LOVE your channel!

  12. Did you ever get through the ordinary peeling solution? Was wondering if you are still using it or how you feel about it now, if you would buy again, stuff like that. I got it and it is perplexing me.

  13. Get the Dove "invisible" dry spray. It does have aluminum but it does not stain your clothes. I use the Sanex invisible dry spray (Belgium, EU) and it is awesome. I can't go without an anti-perspirant myself.

  14. The HASK line is drugstore for shampoo & conditioner and Shea Moisture is out there too; they are sulfate-free or at least sulfate-mild. Maybe it's the sulfates in the shampoo that exacerbate your condition?

  15. For an alternative to the CC cream, I've been using the Mac waterweight foundation mixed with the Strobe cream. I like how the waterweight can be made to build up or it can be thinned out with a moisturizer which makes it more versatile. In the summer I can use it without the moisturizer or strobe cream just as a foundation. I think it only builds to medium coverage though. Goodbye and good riddance to the crappy pacifica mascara! OMG I saw my name at the end of the video and I feel pretty special right now.

  16. You can try cutting old beautyblenders in half – you get 2 more sides, bring 'em a second life for a while. Inside they're usually still in working condition! 😉 😁

  17. It took me a long time to find a cruelty free conditioner that I like. Right now, my hair is nearly waist-length. It's a pain in the ass even using a Wet Brush to detangle if I don't use a really good conditioner. I tried 2 from Paul Mitchell but, they were both too thin/watery and didn't make a difference. I decided to wait for an ULTA sale on shampoo and conditioner and then I bought IT'S A 10
Miracle Daily Conditioner in the big ass bottle. I got it at 50% off. I only condition from about midway down to my ends because I find that doing my roots leaves them flat no matter the brand. I like this one a lot. It doesn't take forever to rinse it out but, it leaves my hair soft and really easy to detangle.

I use a little bit of IT Cosmetics Confidence in a Cream Moisturizing Super Cream after I wash my face. I have rosacea on my cheeks and my skin there is painfully sensitive. I avoid any skincare there no matter the brand.

I broke out on my chin and used the Sephora birthday sample of GLAMGLOW Clearing Treatment. It cleared up the constellation of pimples (thank you, migraine medication) without irritation.

I use Skinfix Foaming Clay Cleanser to wash my face. QVC is showing a price drop for the time being while Ulta has 20% off. If I can hold off, I'll try to wait until it's 50% off. It's much more expensive than Noxzema face wash but, Skinfix doesn't make my skin feel dry afterwards and it's cruelty free.

The 4 products aren't inexpensive so I'll wait for sales as well as better ebates rebates before repurchasing. Skincare and haircare took longer than cosmetics for me to go cruelty-free. I tried sample sizes before I found what works for me.

  18. Omg I think you just helped me realize what's fucking my skin up in my skincare routine! I'm using the Cerave PM Moisturizer too and the past couple of weeks my face has been redder, I've had a lot of acne (for me), and my skin has been burning sometimes after my skincare routine. Thankfully I'm SUPER close to finishing it, so I'll see if that's the culprit soon.

  19. Hi pal! So I had a similar reaction to CeraVe PM but my skin is cool with the Ultra Light spf moisturizer, which does not contain niacinimide. I think that’s the iffy ingredient for me, maybe for you too? CeraVe’s eczema-friendly products are all niacinamide-free so it could make sense. Or I could be making stuff up on the internet.

  20. I like to mix my rosehip oil and olive oil with aloe vera. They absorb way better that way! I think aloe is an emulsifier or something like that.

  21. Do you guys get Yives Rocher in the states? They make great vegan skincare & bath stuff. Also great idea about using oils on your hands, I'll try it out with some oils that never seem to end

  22. Personally, I like the bigger empties videos – I think I’d get more satisfaction looking back on a larger collection of empties …

  23. You caught my attention when you said you have folliculitis on your scalp. You are the first person I've ever heard say that. Have you lost hair due to it? Do you have any videos where you talk about that I can watch? I just hit subscribe so, hi, I'm Kristin, nice to meet you. 😊💜💜💜
