  1. I used up the Nuxe reve de miel and I didn't quite enjoy it. It left yucky waxy residue to my bedside table water glass (I know, tragic😳), but had troubles using it up quickly enough within the recommended opening time. Took 10 months to use up as a night lip mask. I started to use the Klavuu lip sleeping pack, and that I like much more than the Nuxe. It has glidy shiny texture and that vanishes from the lips by the time I drink water in the morning. It leaves the lips soft and it is much more affordable than the Laneige.

I buy from Yesstyle, and there the price difference is quite minimal, but I prefer the shorter ingredient list of the Klavuu, because I'm a skincare nerd😉 I'd love to find an option without fragrance or essential oils that still has the lux feel. Plain petroleum jelly just won't have the right vibe for me even though dermatologists recommend those🙄 I have heard good things from the Drunk elephant lippe balm, but that's expensive!!

  2. Omg I pray Amanda Z you read this lol – I just got the new (I think relatively?) Physicians Formula 24 Karat gold collagen lip serum. It is. TO DIE FOR. It’s like a thinner and runnier version of the Laneige formula, but almost freakishly immediately softened my chapped lips. I’m so siked for this product. I think I heard about it in a recent Gothamista video. Anyway, I know you’ll appreciate this product.

  3. I was searching for best healing lip balms, found you’re video, and ordered the Nuxe one! I tried a bunch of them, and nothing is working! Thanks for the video! New subscriber as well! 😘

  4. Ok so this is a long comment but i just wanted to really express the multiple ways I love the following product I recommend.

So I have the perfect lip mask (that I also use as a balm) that is affordable and effective plus I think it's basically a dupe for the Nuxe lip balm, it's a K-beauty product- Aritaum Ginger Sugar Overnight Lip Mask. The ginger sounds off-putting to some but honestly after a couple nights I didn't even notice it anymore and even forget it has ginger until I see the label when I tell someone about it. This has medically improved my lips, cosmetically improved my lips and it has a huge recommendation from a major lip expert.
I heard about it but an article where Vlada Haggerty was interviewed. She's the OG person who started the lip art on Instagram and Kylie Jenner knocked off/copycat Vlada's logo/art, or she had a collection with Smashbox and was the head of the lip products for Smashbox for a couple years. So that's all to say this woman knows her lip products and she was asked what she uses to take care of her lips and she mentioned Laneige and the Aritaum. Well I instantly wanted those products but the Laneige was more money than I wanted to spend for another lip product to disappoint me so when I saw the Aritaum on Amazon (also prime shipping) I hit "buy now" and never looked back.
I would say it's viscosity is between the Lanolips and the Nuxe according to your description and the look of it in your video. So the medical part- I struggled for 3 years with severe cracking in the corner of my lips that looks like angular chelitis but was actually irritation from toothpaste (saw a doctor and dermatologist for this) on top of that I have dry skin and Psoriasis so my skin goes through a lot. The first time I used it was before bed and when I woke up in the morning the corner of my lip cracks (they scab, bleed, and very painful to talk, eat, drink) were 75% healed and my lips were soft and plump!!!! So I continued to use it and my Rx toothpaste and was fine for 2 1/2 years but then I got a sample of the Bite lip mask which I always wanted to try which was a bad idea because within 12 hours the corners of my lips were starting to act up and were dry so back to the Aritaum I went but then I got a Lanolips in a goodie bag so of course I tried it and my lips were back to dry and I could see the corner of my lips weren't looking good so back to the Aritaum.
I love this stuff so much I have one in my nightstand, bathroom, makeup desk, living room, purse, my husbands car and my car because I never want to be without it.
A little goes a long way and so you can apply it thicker before bed and wake up to visibly plumper lips that look and feel hydrated or just tap a little on like you would with a lipstick for a blotted effect. I'll also just run it over my lips over and just outside my lip line and over again for about 30 seconds and then blot with tissue before I do my makeup so it's really penetrated into my lips and plumping everything up, people tend to forget about the lip line area which is one of the first areas safer your hands to get fine lines and show your age (or even age you older than you are); anytime I have some on my fingers after applying to my lips I'll rub it into my cuticles and dry patches on my hands.
One container lasted me 13 months in my nightstand. Also I like to de-pot some in a smaller little sample container (like from Sephora/Ulta) to use so I don't contaminate the container.

It's usually priced between $9-14 on Amazon for some reason but that's still way now affordable than the Laneige and Nuxe plus you can also find it on YesStyle. I haven't tried their actual lip balm in the tube (I'm happy with the lip mask) or their lip scrub (I like to make my own with jojoba oil, argan oil, rosehip oil, and sugar) so I can't speak to those. I've commented about this product on a few YouTubers videos when lip masks and balms come up and they all ♥️ the comment but have never tried it or at least said they've tried it. It's really good I promise and one of the few products I keep repurchasing. I really think you'll like it because after binging your videos the last couple hours I can tell we are basically makeup twins.

TLDR: Aritaum overnight lip is the greatest lip mask/balm ever IMO and is super affordable

  5. So I bought Laneige at a point in time when I had no efficient lip balm left, and there was a sale on the sephora website, and only heard great reviews. I never had any issue with lip products before, whether it is cheap lip balm or more expensive ones. Turns out I feel like it’s not working on me unless I put à lot on at night (like, A LOT) and even then, it’s not that efficient, I’m really disappoined

  6. Are you sure Chapstick is based on pertoleum? I read the ingredients and it said it contains it but it is not in the start of the list

  7. Hey girl, have you tried Olio E Osso balms?? I know in your skincare video you said your skin loves shea butter and in lip balm specifically bees wax protects the skin. Another influencer recommended the brand, they are a Oregon brand. You should try them, they have a lot of shades and from your videos I feel like you’d really enjoy! Keep up the good content ☺️☺️

  8. Do you have the reformulated Nuxe Lip Balm or the older version? (I think they reformulated this year or last year) I got the old version but I found the texture very grainy and really disliked it.

  9. you look so similar to Amanda Leighton and you even have the same name, it's crazy

  10. I use nux reve de miel in stick format and I grew to love it. It's not incredibly creamy or delicious smelling so it seemed very plain to me at first, very weightless, but it actually keeps my lips in top shape. I need to try that version too as a night-time treatment maybe.

  11. youre gonna laugh but i use lip smackers lip balm and it works so well for me. idk what it is about the formula but its the brand i use the most.

  12. For me, the laneige one feels luxurious because it's pillow-like on the lips. I wake up on the morning with ultra soft lips! I want to try lanolips to see what the hype is!

  13. petrolatum is actually more sustainable than other plant oil because it's the "leftover" trash from making petrol. so basically it's more eco friendly because it's trash that is made in the process and then is used

  14. Hi! just wanted to say that I live in Belgium and I just purchased the Nuxe lip balm, and I got it for about €12. I agree with everything you day about and is totaly worth it!

  15. Do you have favorite spf lip balms or gloss? If you do, would you post a video or share some ides in a comment? Pretty please? The only one I can find that doesn't taste weird, have a gritty texture, or dry out my lips is Neutrogena Revitalizing Lip Balm SPF 20 in plum. PS – thanks for this video!

  16. I adore Nuxe pot balm & La Neige lip mask
I’m here for that tonight: I’ve had a harrowing loss of lip volume this year from menopause… so I need all the help I can get before I pop & pay someone to jab my lips like a nightmare

  17. I love the Nuxe and the Laneige, but they are less convenient than a chapstick or other balm in a bullet form when tossed in a purse. Chapstick isn't the greatest, but it's cheap and you can use it to help out a dry patch on hands and nails in a pinch. I've even used it to help a zipper that isn't zipping smoothly. I loved the Bite Beauty balm until it was reformulated. It's too soft now.

  18. When you first opened your nuxe lip balm, was there any bumps you n the surface of the balm when you received the balm? Cuz when I got mine and opened it there was some bumps on the surface. Idk if maybe that’s j how it reacted to the weather or wat not.
