Contains two surfactants (coco-betaine and alkyl glycosides) which dermatologists have singled out as Allergen of the Year. (Google that site for an annual listing.)
Another major ingredient, also a surfactant, is SLS which many knowledgeable consumers object to.
I love Sal Suds. I keep it mixed with water in a spray bottle to use as an all purpose cleaner. I use it daily to wipe down the kitchen counters and the bathrooms. Also love it for mopping the floors. The scent is great, just smells cleans.
If only a drop of SalSuds in a gallon of water would do the work, then isn't it safe not to rinse?
Angela this is so refreshing to here you make younger people know what the chemicals do in cleaning products. Im 70 and have been cleaning silmply for many yrs.
Please, I need your help! I can't get the grout around my sink which is a tiled and grout counter clean. I bought a 17-year-old home. We have 2 bathrooms that each have two sinks. In each bathroom, one sink was primarily used. The grout is dirty looking around that sink. The rest of the grout on the counter is clean and uniform in color. I don't know how to clean it. I worked on it and had a few house cleaners (keepers) try. I tried scrubbing with a bleach cleanser paste and brush. I thought that would work but it didn't make much difference. Do you have any suggestions? Thanks!
Is Sal Suds safe to discard used cleaning water out to a garden planter?
i bought sal suds like a week ago i own a cleaning company and i thought she says on her website that sal suds needs no rinsing
I use Sal Suds for everything – cleaning, laundry and (I know they say it for surfaces, not bodies) I use it highly diluted for my hair and skin.
It's soapy, but very weak cleaner even if used full strength. I have a water softener, so hard water is not to blame. Sorry, but mediocre at everything I've used it for. If you're okay with that in exchange for no chemicals, then go for it. At $58 per gallon versus $13 gallon of Dawn at Sam's, I'll buy the Dawn and maybe Dr. Natural castile bar soap for other things.
I have purchased a gallon of Sal Suds since I watched this video the first time. ❤ Wanted to come back, and say thank you for all your cleaning tips and information
Beautiful video! I love castile soap so much that I make my own now because of Dr. Bronners. Sal Suds is awesome, but I personally am not a big fan of pine, but I did buy it once and use it and really LOVED it! I now am a Certified Clinical Aromatherapist who makes all my own cleaning and body products. It all started with Dr. Bronners unscented soap that I started using 5 years ago. I have never looked back…in fact, I moved forward! BTW, I am a professional Janitor/Cleaner of 27 years so far! Great video!!! I agree with all of it!
Sal's suds really is an amazing cleaner. I use it for almost everything, it leaves all the surfaces in my home shiny and clean. I started cleaning my toilet with just this and some washing soda, it cleans it better than any toxic toilet bowl cleaner I've tried. It's an amazing makeup brush cleaner as well. I went from using like 15 different cleaning products (with unhealthy ingredients) to just using Sal's Suds, washing soda, vinegar, and baking soda. I went from buying the small bottle of it to now buying it buy the gallon, it seems expensive being around $50 but it lasts me at least a year if not more, whereas before I was spending that much on various cleaning products every few months.
How do you rinse a floor?
