The tea tree is native to Australia. The oil made from its leaves has antimicrobial and antibacterial properties that helps reduce and prevent acne.
A study from India suggests that tea tree oil may help kill the skin-dwelling bacteria involved in acne. According to the study, people with acne who applied a 5% tea tree oil gel to their pimples had a significant reduction in the number of pimples as well as a decrease in pimple severity.
You can use shampoos, body washes, soaps and cleansers that contain tea tree oil to minimise the chances of back acne.
You can also take a few drops of tea tree oil and mix it with your bath water and shower. This can also help reduce acne. After drying your skin, apply aloe vera gel.
if you prefer a more direct approach mix a few drops of the oil with a carrier oil as tea tree oil directly on your skin can be irritating. A good carrier oil for example would be coconut or almond oil, and gently apply with a cotton ball or swab.

• Tea tree oil reduces inflammation and restores the skin.
• Tea tree oil also penetrates deep into pores, removing toxins and preventing the clogging that contributes to acne outbreaks.
