Dry 4c natural hair needs either to be moisturized and/or hydrated. When your hair feels dry do you reach for a creamy moisturizer in which the first ingredient is water or aloe vera juice? Or do you reach for something hydrating which would be water, humectant and/or aloe vera juice? Ever wondered which is more effective? In today’s video, I test it out on my 4c hair. I am 3 days past wash day and need to remoisturize, hydrate and style.

I usually just spritz with water and then use some oil. BOOM!
I re-moisturise now everyday with a watery/creamy moisturiser and seal with oil my hair is responding really well to that. we have v similar hair
Yes, I did think about chicken when you said crispy. 😂😂 For remoisture, I will use leave in conditioner and water.
AMEN SISTA
Hey! New subcriber here! I've watched several of your videos today and I'm hooked! Thanks for sharing your tips! And your teeth are beautiful!!
Can I just say that your videos bring me so much joy! I literally be crackin up with you. We could be cousins in real life! But I prefer the LOC method and I use a liquid and cream on super dry days
Very entertaining and informational.
I use a liquid first
Crispy chicken! I always spray my hair with water before I remoisturize. The problem with that is my hair won’t be dry the next day but who care I need the moisture
I don't even grow my hair out, but just love watching her videos❤️
In a bottle I add a few pumps of any kind of moisturize replenish conditioner or a moisturizing leave in conditioner, then add warm water.. I pre-section my hair, to each section I spray warm conditioner water & seal each with an oil..💁🏽
I absolutely love your videos and am so glad I found them!!!
Literally water and an oil or a whipped butter mix
I always mist with water first. What comes next depends on how my hair is feeling, but it’s typically a cream, then oil.
What's that song you were singing at 2:55
If you’re not using water then you’re not remoisturizing
I re-moisturize with either water, refresher spray, or rosewater. I may also add a cream styler. Currently most of my hair is too short to twist except on top. 😉
One of the few actual 4c youtubers on youtube, you and Chizi are my favs
You're too funny.😂😂😂
The video I never knew I needed
Still trying to figure out the products my hair likes when it comes to moisturizing, leave ins, and creams.
Wait!! Just had to stop the video a bit to say…it was "Cha cha leh leh ging ging!" XD Your sense of humour is so good.Have me cracking up and I appreciate you sis lol.Now back to the vid…
Got to the end of the vid-I'm still developing my routine but I use water to moisturize, seal with oil and use a cream moisturizer if my hair needs ig esp with the elders.I'm gonna try an experiement though…want to part my hair in four and do lco, loc,lo & co -one method per section and see how my hair responds.Whichever works best from wash day till the next,I will apply it throughout my whole hair 🙂 Looking forward to see how it goes. Thanks for the vid NappyFu.Really useful cause then we can see which method can work best for certain styles and times yuh know.Anyway, appreciation from T&T 😀
Have you tried the Camille Rose Honey?!? It’s incredible for detangling with some water
I absolutely love your channel 😍 and you're funny 😂
Ok…have never been a grease advocate cause of the weight it puts on my hair, but I should probably look into it,& of course update y’all on the result in my subsequent videos. 😉
The name of the Father is Yah while the son is Yahshua. I encourage you to look into why his name isn't Jesus Christ. However, I really enjoyed the video very informative.
What's that song called? The one u was singing "melanin"
I use a cream to moisturize. The cream has water as it’s first ingredient and the next is glycerin! It also has linseed oil (flaxseed) and my hair LOVES THAT! This may sound cray cray but when I use plain water to moisturize then apply an oil or cream to seal, my hair is dry as the Sahara desert two of hours later. Now I use Shea Moisture’s Red Palm Oil and Cocoa Butter Curl Stretch Pudding and then seal that with 22nd Century Natural Woman Herbal Oil and y’all!!!!! It’s PURE PERFECTION on my hair. It’s so moisturized and stays moist for days. This is my new routine and I must say it has saved my hair life! I’m 4b by the way.
I use either LO or LC. Depends on how I feel. I cut my hair on the 30th of June so I'm starting fresh and deciding what my hair wants. The cream leaves my hair feeling greasy and I hate that. While the oil makes my hair feel dry. I'm thinking of buying aloe Vera juice and oil to seal.
Chicken and waffles
I think you needed to spritz a little water on the cream side so that the cream could sink in better.
Do you cover your hair when you shower?
This was good to know. I do notice that the cream literally sits on my hair and transfers to EVERYTHING. Even when I sit and take my time trying to work it in with my hands. Looks moisturized but definitely not hydrated.
grab liquid (restorative spray), styling cream, oil
I like to use a liquid like a refresher spray or something that’s just a tad bit thicker than that but not a cream
I know that feeling when by 4th day i feel dry and crispy. What good budget friendly hair products are good to use to keep moisturizing in the hair im from chicago ILLINOIS prices are outrageous
And i see more hair products for Mexicans or whites or 4a hair im just trying keep my hair growth an moist
I always start with my spray bottle. Then I use coconut oil then the TGIN green tea leave in… Then MOORE water and either Castro oil or Shea butter. On rinse day, I usually do the first three steps on my whole head at once. Then I come back through with more water and oil or butter for my individual braid twists.
Water water water!!!💦 I live in the tropics so water it my best friend. Every time I work my kinks, I handle safe with water first 💦💙
Water and cream. I love Nappy Foo. She my sister from another mother. #socialmediahairbae
A liquid
I'm having the liquid first! These stands get thirsty lol
Thanks for the heads up as far as why we're not seeing certain videos and I will keep that in mind. Subscribed and liked.
it's the LB for meee, my hair loves it!! (ik I am months late, am right on time lol)
I just want to take the time to thank you for all of your hair videos. I have been bingeing your hair videos, and really paying attention to what you have been saying and showing us what to do. I got the full TGIN line and my hair really likes it. I also do the refreshing my hair during the week. I have much less breakage and much more moisture retention. Thanks again
I recently started using rosewater to remoisturize my 4b hair instead of water. Then I use a cream and seal with an oil.
Cha-cha-le-le-ging-ging🤣
Liquiyy
Yea you should have put some water on the hair before the cream I would have done water, cream ,oil 💕
If we lived in the same city..we would be friends. 😂
I just did a big chop 4 weeks ago. I had locks for 22 years and my 4C nappy baby fro is feeling less and less soft. I have tried and returned SOOOOOO many products to the store 😅 bcuz I'm trying to find what works. There are so many cream products I see on the shelves but where and what liquid products do you recommend for my thirsty hair??
