My doctor also told me that the skin around the eye is no different than the rest of the face, however that sensitive area around the eye has very few oil glands compared to rest of the face.

Hi Tracey! I complimented your makeup on Instagram; the day you were filming this video. I absolutely love it! I looked for the foundation and concealer, brand and shade but do not see it in the notes. Does your dermatologist recommend expensive foundation as well? Can we get away with a strict skincare regimen and less expensive (catrise) foundation/ concealer? I take great care of my skin but find that it doesn’t impact my foundation: concealer. I am not brand loyal…

Tracy, have you ever heard of Neutrogena Pore Refining Exfoliating Cleanser? Like the Dr. Brandt cleanser, it also contains a low percentage of salicylic acid, but also includes glycolic acid. It can be purchased in any drug store and has a much better price point. I use it with the Clarisonic Brush before shaving to help prevent ingrown hairs. I am mentioning this because I saw where you recommended the Cetaphil cleanser as a more budget-friendly option. In my opinion, if the Dr. Brandt cleanser is too expensive for someone to purchase, the Neutrogena cleanser would be a nice alternative.
I also agree with your dermatologist when it comes to eye creams. A nice thick moisturizing cream like Cetaphil, Vanicream, or CeraVe works just fine! I use the Cetaphil cream as a body moisturizer. Isn't it great? It's definitely a staple in my skincare routine!
