this affordable Korean haircare vs l’oréal glycolic gloss for glass hair ? This wins for me✨ Unsponsered
So I’ve been tried out the Mise en Scène Perfect Serum range and here are my thoughts
Perfect Serum Original Shampoo
Now, this one doesn’t just cleanse, it actually leaves my hair soft. Looking at the ingredients, the main surfactants are Sodium Laureth Sulfate (a classic cleanser that lathers well but is milder than SLS) and Cocamidopropyl Betaine (a gentle, amphoteric surfactant that reduces irritation and makes the foam creamier). This combo is why it can clean my oily scalp without being too harsh on my dry lengths.
It also has PEG-60 Hydrogenated Castor Oil, which acts as a solubilizer but also has some conditioning effect, and Dimethiconol, a lightweight silicone that smooths hair.
The highlight though is their 7 oil complex Argan, Coconut, Olive, Jojoba, Camellia, Apricot, and Marula.
One of the better shampoos I’ve tried lately for dry, frizz-prone hair.
Perfect Serum Original Conditioner
Moving on to the conditioner, this one has a thick, almost mask-like texture. Honestly, sometimes it takes a bit of effort to pump it out because it’s so dense. But that thickness also means it’s packed with emollients.
The base is built on Cetyl Alcohol and Stearyl Alcohol which are fatty alcohols, super moisturizing and smoothing. Then you have Dimethicone, a classic silicone that coats the hair shaft, reducing frizz and making it feel silky.
There’s also Behentrimonium Chloride, a conditioning agent that helps with detangling and makes hair feel instantly smoother. And again, it has the same 7 oil complex as the shampoo
On my hair, this really controls frizz and smooths everything down. It is a solid choice, especially if you want hair manageability without heaviness. Sometimes I even mix a bit of the serum into the conditioner for extra smoothness, and that works beautifully.
Perfect Serum Original Hair Serum
Now, the serum is base of this is a mix of lightweight silicones like Cyclopentasiloxane, Dimethiconol. These spread easily, coat the hair evenly, and give that instant glossy, frizz free look without weighing hair down too much.
It also contains Glycerin and Sodium Hyaluronate, which act as humectant and also the 7 oils from this range.
The texture of the serum is thicker than most serums I’ve tried (Similar to moroccanoil) which I like because it feels more nourishing. On my dry ends, it really helps tame frizz, adds shine, and makes everything look more polished.
Now, if you already use a silicone based serum that you love, you might not find this to be a life changing switch. But if you’re still hunting for a serum that works for dry, frizz-prone hair, this one is a safe bet.
Overall, I genuinely like this range. The shampoo cleans without stripping, the conditioner smooths and softens, and the serum ties everything together by adding shine and taming frizz. I understand the glass hair claim.
If you have dry, frizzy hair like mine, this combo really works to give softness, shine, and overall manageability. Definitely one of the better ranges I’ve tried recently. I liked it better than new l’oreal glycolic gloss range for shine & frizz control🙋🏻♀️ But if you do not like silicones in your haircare or have super fine or super oily hair, this range might not be for you.
