  1. Heal cuts fast with plain petroleum jelly. This keeps the wound bed clean & moist, facilitating healing. Avoid putting alcohol or hydrogen peroxide on a cut, as these damage cells and slow healing. Antibiotic ointments, like Neosporin, are no better then plain petroleum jelly for healing cuts and preventing infection, yet they can trigger a contact dermatitis that slows healing. Antibiotic resistance is also a concern with these medicated ointments. Vicks vapo rub is a popular remedy, but the strong menthol & camphor can cause contact dermatitis and slow healing.

  2. The best way to heal a wound, is to use a small piece ( 1×1 inch) of the antimicrobial shoe insole called PodoPhylus, stapled inside of a face mask and covering the wound without touching the wound . It slowly releases iodine gas that keeps the wound aseptic..and moist but not macerated. Walmart online has it

  4. What f you have stitches? My thought would be to put the Vaseline on it and cover it with a bandage. I wasn’t to cover it so nothing gets caught on the stitches.

  5. I had a bad scrape on my knee and it felt like dry gator skin hydrogen peroxide only opens it up so I can put Vaseline on it, but Vaseline does help
