After months of battling with our Rally car conversion on my mate Neil’s Mini, the end seems tantalisingly in sight but is this finally going to be it? Is the Rally Mini finally going to leave the workshop in pursuit of adventure on the open road, or is there just one more twist in the tale?

  1. My fav part?
When the software put icicles on the three animations.
    3:54

    I am easy to please.

  2. Ah this is last's week show… not the new show…I'm too early..

  3. you take too long to explain technical things that public are not really interested to go so deep. Just show what it will be the process. I know you know a lot but I'm not trying to learn the mechanical process. Go for it,

  4. This is why Edd’s channel is the best on YouTube.. Great insight, great information and practical information delivered in a entertaining manner. Thanks Edd.

  5. I see the 'editor's tips' text still makes its guest appearance every episode! Today it was just as Neil walked in for his q&a session

  6. i missed you on tv but i am very happy to see here on you tube , wheeler dealer was not the same with you,

  7. I would love to watch a Christmas special with Mike, Ed, Elvis, Ant, Paul making appearances. Forgive and Forget move forward ! Maybe a 88 Ford Taurus wagon from Christmas vacation.

  8. nicely done chaps, very interesting series thanks. and nice to see the Edds workshop graphics on the car at the end, well deserved.

  9. When we set our Caterham 7 up we have the driver in the vehicle because the weight changes things. Is this less important on rally cars?

  10. I´m sorry officer, but you know that I am just a f´n pencial neck geek with dough enough for a proper solicitor. Would you mind very much if I´m on my way? I mean you did notice my special license tags and my pencil neck at 20mph over, did you not?

  11. Neil's face as he was "test driving" the Mini, his face was truly priceless Mr Burns lookalike, no offence mate, plus that test drive , look like almost like cruise than a rally, itscmissing the rally spirit the drift the jumps….

  12. "Hold out your hand, you've just got a well balanced car." Thankfully an irritating phrase we'll not have to hear again.

  13. Ed, there are other good alternatives to the two lift options you looked at. Particularly for the DIYer in a standard or double garage. I bought a 2.7 tonne hydraulic scissor lift with 4 swinging arms. It folds flat under the car when not in use, enables doors to be opened, and has all the advantages of a 2 post lift but without the limiting factor of the 2 posts getting in the way. All for £1200, and its 240v single phase! Lifts about 4ft, perfect for a Mini in a double garage with another Mini parked in the other spot. We don't all have massive workshops!

  14. Did you know that avarage cyclist in 17 km/h speed is poluting 350 gr/km of CO2 when eating avarage food.
So, cyclist polute much more than avarage car, even an old one !
This calculation was made by German engineer association.

  15. Just now finished watching all 7 segments on Neil's R56 rally car. Very interesting and great fun as a new viewer of Edd's channel but long time viewer of W-D then and now still. I own a 2006 R53 slicktop with just 5175 total miles (8330 kms), obtained from original owner earlier this year, which had been purposely ordered minimally optioned for lightest weight and then track-prepped (but not subsequently used for such). No plans by me doing that, so taming for streets and highways has been my focus since then. All performance bits were sourced early in 2006 from UK and Germany suppliers, including Team Dynamic Wheels on AP Racing "big brakes", similar to as equipped on Neil's car and much more. Anyone interested can find my thread topic on the USA NAM forum posted under same username.

  16. Just come across me old China by accident. Had been wondering what had happened to Edd.
I was really going off WD because of a particular old used car salesman who liked to think he was the Bees Knees but was just a load of Krap ( I see the Krapper Toilet cistern in some of the episodes and wonder if Edd was being a bit cryptic ). I know a lot of it was choreographed but he infuriates me so much that I would land up swearing at him on the TV. (well I am 72). In the end I would either fast forward him out or go and make a nice relaxing cuppa tea and sit down and carrying on watching Edd. When you know who re-appeared I would then mute the TV. until he left. The thing I hated most about him was his ferocious battering ram of a stupid handshake, does he have some sort of an underlying insecurity problem. Shame someone didn't challenge him to an arm wrestle or something similar.
Anyway , I am thoroughly enjoying Edds progs plus his band of Merry Men. Keep up the Good Work.
