  1. Do Not go to Aveda Institute Orlando worst experience ever. They are the complete opposite from this video. They don’t live by what they preach, they don’t care about the students, they are all about getting new students in, and are all about the money.

  2. Did you need to have any experience going into Aveda? That may be a silly question because it is a school but I am looking to go there but have never had experience with esthetics. I am graduating high school this year and will hopefully attend Aveda.

  3. “Or you just nosey and wanna know my business!!” 😂😂💀

  4. thank you so much for this video <3 so much useful information I was so in-between Paul Mitchel or Aveda but after seeing this I am so confident Aveda is for me

  5. This was sooo helpful. I’m attending AVEDA in July, and I was worried because I didn’t know what to expect but this helped.

  6. I am going to beauty school next year but I am worried I won’t make friends because I won’t definitely let anyone touch my beautiful curls, I am pretty sure people will want to practice on my hair but it’s a no for me 😂😂😂

  7. Love this video! I'm starting Aveda soon and this video had all the info I was looking for! Thank you!💖

  8. Are all Aveda schools the same? I’m looking at the schools in California! Congratulations on finishing school as well 🥰🎉

  9. Love this! Are they flexible with the hours? Because I have to work and attend school🌼🐛

  10. Heyy love! Long time no see. So happy to have run across your page. I’m in an Esthetics program rn 🥰🥰

  11. I’m so happy I stumbled upon this video. I’m attending aveda Dallas in July and I’m so excited 🥰

  12. So after getting your esthetician license could you do lashes or did u have to do a separate course since Aveda doesn’t teach that?

  13. I’ll be starting by the end of this year ☺️ I’m so excited lol I’ve been between Aveda and another school

  14. Girl I’m with you on the hustler mentality. I’m starting esthetician school next month. I’m in Dallas as well!! Thanks for the video

  15. My school is way more expensive but thankfully we learn a lot more as well. All the things you said you don’t learn with aveda, we learn with my school. It

  16. Hey did waxing ever bother you and did you have to practice on each other? Also does aveda require esthiologists to wear makeup and is dress code the same for both the cosmetology and esthiology program? Also between cosmetology and esthiology, would someone who is more natural and tends to do the bare minimum with her own personal style be more apt for esthiology or maybe are neither programs possibly a fit for them in your personal opinion and experience? I love the art and relaxation parts of both cosmetology and esthiology and just treating yourself but not sure if it would be a right fit for me. I did do a few weeks of cosmetology school at a different school a few years back but I felt a bit lost at the time like I didn’t feel like I was being my authentic self I missed my part time job working with kids and wished I was able to do that while going to school and the clothing and idk some of the things felt a bit of a challenge to my nature if that makes sense but I did have a good experience there I was just having doubts and wasn’t ready to fully commit…you mentioned you kind of have to be all in to do it and that obv makes sense : ) thanks if you were able to read through all this

  17. I think I kind of already know my answer.. basically it would make sense that you’d have to buy into the industry that you’re selling, and while I do think makeup nails hair and all the fun of it all including a fun relaxing day at the spa sounds like loads of fun, at the same time, if I’m one to keep it simple and not be one to do more than get a haircut and take good care of my skin by just using natural products I enjoy and doing the basic wash tone moisturize everyday, this may not be the industry for me, even though I think I could enjoy the job itself minus the waxing or extractions 😁 no job is perfect, I think maybe buying into or truly believing in why I’m doing it maybe I just couldn’t sell it if that makes sense. Like I’m pretty practical and don’t like to spend money on makeup and stuff not that it’s not fun and expressive and all that jazz, but I just try to take good care of myself and idk let my natural beauty shine through..not really the backbone of the industry I guess huh? It’s like I’m torn between really thinking it’s all fun and artsy and enjoyable and the enjoyment of giving someone a luxury spa treatment or being seriously skilled with hair styling and all the impressive things you could do with that, and not really buying into it myself and selling it if that makes sense. So it’s like half of me is a perfect fit for it but the other half kind of idk won’t budge does that make sense?

  18. Can you have your nails done as an esthetician or is it recommended not to?

  19. Aveda sounds like a scam lol but at least their prices are lower than the options here in Chicago. This is so thorough, thank you. Your clients are lucky to have you because just listening to you your voice is so soothing.

  20. Thanks for sharing! Can I ask you a question? Did you have any say in the clients you would take? (Mainly I’m asking because I’m not comfortable being alone in a treatment room with a guy so I’d only want to treat women in those situations and I’m wondering how easy/difficult that would be to arrange) ✨

  21. I’m scheduling a few appointments with them to see how I like the vibes. I’m closer to a different location but I’d really like to go to Dallas which is in a different state.your video helps a lot since I’m not in Texas. Thank you for being so detailed✨

  22. Hi Linzie, loved your video! I am from India I will just graduate in 2 months (commerce). I am thinking of going to a cosmetology school as I think this is my passion but there are no good cosmetology schools here. so is it worth coming all the way from India to join Aveda Institute. Also are there any pre requisite to get admission?

  23. love your vibe! you literally answered all of my questions. thank you. Also, you are GORGEOUS!

  24. I start the 27th! I’m pretty nervous about the long days, how did you feel about the days? Did they seem to go by slow or fast
