In Italia molti supermercati o mercati, il cibo che avanza o sta per scadere in molti casi lo donano ad associazioni che si occupano dei senzatetto, ma non sempre. Per quanto riguarda le boutique come per esempio Christian Dior, fendi, Chanel, a fine stagione ( ovviamente pochissimo su borse e accessori) fanno i saldi, oppure passano agli outlet, non Chanel ovviamente! Ma qui in Italia ce ne sono veramente pochi. Invece Gucci e louis Vuitton i saldi non li fanno più da tempo e come per Chanel gli outlet non esistono. Quindi, dopo che sicuramente venderanno qualcosa ai loro dipendenti distruggono tutto! Anche il pellame per fare le borse che è avanzato, questo affinché non vengano prodotti dei falsi 🤷♀️ Certo è davvero un peccato e un grande male per il nostro pianeta, ma il mercato del lusso, e non solo quello, funzionano così. Bravissimo Dacob! Preparato e soprattutto mai banali e scontati i temi che affronti nel tuo canale anche se si tratta dell'" effimero" mondo della moda che è comunque tra i primi capisaldi dell'economia mondiale!

I understand that the supermarkets here donate leftover food to food kitchens for the poor. There was a scandal here some years ago about destroying food. The supermarkets stressed that they did so because they could be prosecuted if anyone got sick from the donated food. Eventually the laws changed and now the supermarkets are able to donate, which I understand they do. Though I don't know to what extent, whether it is large scale or just a 'show' donation.

The jackets already cost 7,000 dollars, it’s hard to justify their price vs a bag which one could potentially sell used for close to purchase price or even higher sometimes. Meanwhile the used jackets sell for about 1/2 price. I hate the thought of a Chanel jacket getting destroyed.

Chanel is setting themselves for failure. They believe that because hermes charges more, so can they. They even think their watches can compete with Rolex. What a joke.
Their bags are machine made, and their watches have no resale value.
I believe chanel makes more money from cosmetics, and accessories period. Hermes kind of forces customers to buy ready to wear, for you to buy a bag.
Apparently the boy bag, which they considered a classic (mistakenly), is apparently not selling well.

It’s interesting that Chanel and other luxury brands should set up their stores that way. I know this sounds like an odd analogy but every supermarket knows that it’s smart to make the customer walk around the whole store to get to the items that sell the most. That is why bread, eggs, milk, etc. ( all the staples) are located on the farthest perimeters of the building. Just something to think about.
