If you do not rinse the soap out of the fabric/carpet when it dries it will leave a residue of soap that will attract even more dirt to that area.

What she didn’t show you is the vent hole on top of the pot lid is meant for extracting and inputting steam so you can steam clean your carpets as well. That is the main goal for using the lid of a pot! 😮
