Welcome to my bathroom! These are all the skincare and hair products I’m currently using / transitioning into for fall and winter. You’ll notice lots of old favorites from over the years, new ones and a few things I’ve never tried before. Also, a quick FYI: If you watched my video last week, then you know that I’ve adopted new practices to become more mindful about my shopping habits. In many ways, the changes I’ve made when it comes to shopping for clothes stemmed from how I buy/use my beauty products. I like to finish products before moving into new ones, as you’ve been able to see from my annual empties videos over the last two years. Since part of my job consists of trying different beauty products, there are a couple things to note: 1. I’m in a position where I receive more gifted items than I can use. I’m very mindful about what I choose to keep to make sure they’re things I’ll realistically be using. Everything else is given to friends or donated to a local women’s shelter. 2. I want to help people make informed decisions about their purchases and I believe the only way to truly do that is to purchase products myself. I want to understand what I’m willing to spend my money on, what I’m willing to repurchase and what’s just not worth it. For me, all of this is about being thoughtful and creating a balance that allows me to do my job (something I continue to love) without being excessively wasteful. The more I’ve practiced this, the more I’ve learned. That is my ultimate happy place.️

Don't you think in 2018 there are enough amazing cruelty free products to not have to promote brands that still test on animals? I think it's really sad that so many people think that animals are ours to use, torture, and discard as we please. I'm a huge fan of yours and think it would be really amazing if you looked into cruelty free brands only to promote as so many of the products you already love and are using are cruelty free! Also, I strongly encourage you to watch videos of the dogs that are being tested on. I'm a huge promoter that if you are okay with paying to support certain practices, you should be okay with watching the videos of what you are supporting.
