Hello there! 😄👋 I hope you’ve all been well, it’s so nice to be back after a little filming break. I’ve been busy planning a big year of beauty ahead, so I’d love for you to subscribe so you don't miss my weekly videos, or you can find me on Instagram @matildaonvideo for daily beauty bits. Any burning beauty questions / topics / brands you’d like to see? x
Love seeing your videos again, Matilda! I’ve been eyeing Vintner’s Daughter foreverrrr. You might just be the reason I pull the trigger this year. Excited for what you’ve planned for us!
Matilda, I am always looking forward to these annual curations of yours, they usually answer my unasked questions: I have been using the La Roche B5 for years but never really liked the texture and all past year I was eyeing Avene products but wouldn't know where to begin. Voila, you just listed a few which all sounds wonderful!
Last year was the year for me to admit I am into face mists and look at that, your video has half a dozen listed! 😀 I get a lot of enjoyment when I resonate with anyone anywhere, hope this doesn't sound too weird. Not to mention same over-exfoliation issue, so yeah as soon as I use up my THIRD bottle of Pai Skincare's rosehip oil, I'll look into that Sicilian olive oil, simply because I am ready to explore 🙂 But highly recommend you Pai if you can get your hands on it, many stuff in their range is lovely.
Thank you for this video, here for the upcoming ones and have a great week!
i love avene tolerance emulsion for summer time, as its very lightweight but does the job. however, it has the same bottle/cap mechanism as your avene cream here and its horrible. haha, my local beauty community hates avene for that, its so unpractical, and we have found a much cheaper version with a better packaging. thank god for that, unfortunately it is a finish brand so I doubt its on the market elsewhere
So happy you're back!
So lovely to see you back. I’ve definitely binged your videos since you took that break. Excited to see what you bring for this year! Thank you for all your effort, Matilda ❤️
I discovered the skinceuticals CE Ferulic Acid Serum and it’s been a game changer. The price is a bummer though 😩
Sand & Sky brand is so so good. I adore the Tasmanian spring water line and their exfoliating powder is something I stock up on every time they have a sale on it. I have like 4 jars in my bathroom.
Furtuna oil is my natural beauty product and it's way too expensive 300$ and it will expire within 6months how is she using the bigger bottle, wouldn't get it 🤦🏾♀️I bought the mini version about 3 month ago, everybody in my house used it in their faces my" husband & daughter" every night 3 drops for everyone and not make a bit 🤦🏾♀️🤷🏽♀️
What are some of your go to scents right now?
After years of watching you rave about Go-To face oil I finally bought it and am in love!! Such a lovely oil that doesn’t break me out at all.
I love when products have magnetic lids for included spatulas
The code for Look fantastic 22% off is expired, is there a new one please?
Since I love skincare- had to as I had an acne prone skin- more than makeup videos, this is my type of video so thank you for doing your skincare roundup. Also, love your nails, first time I have seen you in such a neutral shade- it’s beautiful.
Thank you for calling out glossier! I am so disappointed and haven't even (got to) tried it. I messaged them in 2017 and they said they were working on shipping to Germany (they said within the next year), fast forward to 2022, now they say they aren't planning on extending the shipping for now. Alongside the other issues you listed, it's just a now from me. So sad bc I used to be so exited to purchase from them 🙄
It's so good to have you back! I'm really glad that you took time off, though. I love your skincare product videos, and I'll be putting together a wishlist from this video. The sunscreen looks especially promising!
Ugh. Dying to try those sunscreen . Sadly, they are not allowed in the US. 😭
❤👏
I think using that much HA is probably not helping your dry skin Matilda. Try to only include 1 product that has HA, otherwise you are not helping your condition.
Rovectin from korean brand have amazing products!
Matilda!! You’re back….yay!! I hope your break was relaxing 💜💜💜
Matilda, have you tried the KORA NONI stick to replace the Rodin stick during winter months? If you have tried it, I would love to hear your thoughts, I am currently experiencing that tightness during winter….=)
waiting for a perfume collection video since ages 🙁
Beauty-Tool Breakdown, please 🤗
For irritated skin avene cicalfate works better than avene skin recovery cream!
I swear by it, 10+ years using it everyday.
The back of her hand after this video 🌟💅🌟
I discovered the Fresh cleanser this year too and it is perfect and simple.
thank you for speaking about the glossier issues. i was curious about why you stopped using them though i had my suspicions
I would very much enjoy a ( tools ) mechanism video.
Loved and enjoyed this.
Thank you.
I know you used to use Glossier Milk Jelly… have you found a dupe? It’s my go to remover and I’m dying to find an alternative.
i've got 3 steps in my routine – cleanse, moisturise & spf
A skin tools video would be amazing! 🙏🏾
During my trip to (humid!!!!!) India this year, I became a bit over-zealous with exfoliation and completely messed up my skin-barrier. LRP’s cicaplast, Avene’s thermal spray, and Dear Klairs’ midnight calming cream have SAVED my skin!
It had been a minute since I had watched
your videos so I was so happy when this one popped up. Great content, as always! The Aveeno Calm and Restore Triple Oat Serum has saved my face from being irritated as I wear a N95 mask all day at work and also through this dry Colorado winter air. This was a recommendation from Dr. Shereen Idriss, a dermatologist here on You
YouTube, Instagram and now TikTok I believe. She is an incredible resource for understanding the ingredients in products. She is whip smart, sassy, goofy and also very down to earth. I think you would really enjoy her content. Looking forward to your future vidoes, they NEVER disappoint!
I think you would like the face oil from Youth to the People. It's my favorite! It feels so light and it sinks right in for a gorgeous glow.
Yes, finally, the skincare favorites video!
There you are! I've missed you 😽 you're honestly the reason why I've tried Avene mist just bc I love spraying something on before everything else but after I wash my face, and I've tried other stuff including the cleanser, – I'm never going back to any other brand. Face mist or cleanser. I'm bought forever thank you 🙏🙏 for being such an amazing resource to try new products (:
Your explanation is really nice. I care too much about my skin. Watching videos like these makes me happy. However, every video I watch or the techniques in the research I have done often do not have an effect on my skin. I had a lot of wrinkles and acne on my face for a long time. I did a lot of research on the internet about how to fix them and used many products. Although some felt good, unfortunately I did not get the effect I wanted. 3 months ago I found a cream called RWLMAX Cream on the internet. Before I contacted them and bought the product, I asked every question I wanted. I got answers to all of them in a short time. It really wasn't something every company could do. I bought the product and after 3 months, today, there is a visible reduction in my wrinkles and acne. This is truly magnificent. I would definitely recommend you to visit his site.
glad to see ur back!! i have a curiosity though, do you use any skincare for undereyes?? im havin trouble with dark circles being a full college student and part time barista and i just wanna see what youd use :] been trustin ur picks for a long time and never faile’
It’s very helpful of you to demonstrate how much those cleansers foam up. I find the more a cleanser foams up the more drying it is so I tend to avoid anything that says foaming. I managed to sample the Kate Somerville Goat Milk cleanser and love it. I’m 54 so a good deal older than you but I really like your videos and swatches and descriptions. I don’t have a big budget for skincare and makeup but love them both and your videos have helped me narrow things down…my wish list is long though😁
Kinship Self Reflect Probiotic Moisturizing Sunscreen a newer favorite and a oldy but a goody Mad Hippie Vitamin C Serum. Honorable mentions go to Heritage Store Rosewater and glycerin and The Inkey List Oat cleaning Balm for my 1st step when I double cleanse. I keep in simple I have no more 10-12 in my rotation.
I just tried the Caudelie yesterday when in Sephora and I was AMAZED how fabulous this is! I LOVE the scent and the feel and will definitely buy when I finish up my current mist.
I've stopped purchasing Glossier products as well, partly because using a parcel forwarding service to New Zealand gets expensive and more importantly as a person of colour it doesn't sit well with me to keep purchasing from them after reading the testimonials. An even better hyaluronic acid product I've been using lately is the Isntree Hyaluronic Acid Toner Plus, it also has 5 types of HA along with lots of other soothing and hydrating ingredients. It's listed as a toner but it's quite thick so more of a toner texture for me, could be worth looking into if you're ever in the market for a different hydrating product x
Do you use the cleansers you mentioned as makeup removers by any chance? Trying to help my mom find a makeup remover that takes away mascara too so I'm nosing through all your videos haha
Thanks for taking the time to reply to my comments and dms. Have a good one! 👍 in your viral lip balm video, you mentioned French pharmacy brand – Bioderma and I can personally attest to the fact that Avene and Bioderma lip balms really nourished my chapped lips., Also Avene cleanance works for my acne as well🙂 I prefer to use it in summers and humid weather tho, not during winters when I feel like my skin is already parched.. I use Mac fix + like u describe eau de beaute from Caudalie… and the Avene skin recovery cream has a cool mechanism that ensures it remains uncontaminated… love love love ❤
I would love to see you do on the current state of glossier. its definitely lost its hold.
