  1. I love me some Cerave lol. I use the tub version that you hate in the winter time because I need extra moisturization EVERYWHERE and the tub is more economic (and to me a little thicker.. which I like). Cerave is not fancy, it doesn't have any scent, but damn does that shit work.

  2. Oh, this is awesome! I'd love to see the stream-lined skin care routine, too!
One thing I'm wondering if you can make a video on is how to best test new products, and what you do to determine if a product actually works for you. I find it hard, especially since I use so many products and I can't always tell what the culprit of a breakout is, or if a product is actually working. Also, a video on how you manage your keratosis pilaris?
    Love your channel! 😀

  3. Most lip balms dry my lips ☹️️ the only one I've found that works is the Sephora brand.

  4. For anyone with any DIY abilities at all, homemade soap is the very best thing for your skin. I haven't bought soap in probably 15 years, and if I forget to take a bar with me while traveling and end up using something store bought (including Bath and Body Works), my skin screams blue murder at me. It feels like a piece of plastic wrap on a heat source, shrinking up and turning crispy. Your soap doesn't even need to be anything fancy. When I first started making my own, I used a store brand version of Crisco (in other words, a completely plant based fat), lye and water. That's it. You can do other things to get better lather, better texture, and etc, but just getting away from anything store bought will amaze you.
Cuticle oil? Olive oil. Best thing out there. If you have a really bad problem, you can warm your oil and use it as a soak on your nails and fingertips (think of those stupid old Palmolive commercials if you're old enough to remember them), or put some in rubber gloves. Get it down into the fingertips, put them on and sleep in them. You'll be amazed.
Lip balm – Vaseline? OMG! OK, not going to go into my horror of that. Again, if you can DIY, get you some coconut oil, some vitamin E oil, a little olive oil, and enough beeswax to make it into a solid. You can obviously use other oils/butters of your choosing. I've mixed many of them together at one time or another, but those three plus beeswax are the basics. Heat it up and melt the beeswax in a bit at a time until it hardens at room temperature to the point you want. I place a couple of drops on a lid of some kind and stick it in the fridge for just a minute then pull it out and see how it holds up when I put it on my skin. You don't want it to immediately melt. It needs to be substantial enough to soften but not turn to liquid. That is, if you're looking for a lip balm. And by the way, I also use this stuff as a cuticle oil. Massage it in and go on my way. If you want a body butter, just add enough beeswax to make a cream. Don't want something that oily? Get a good lotion that you like and add a bit of coconut oil (minor problems) or olive oil (more intense dry skin).
And I can't speak too highly of straight olive oil. One year, my skin was literally peeling like a lizard in molt. I tried everything under the sun. I finally, in utter desperation, started rubbing in pure olive oil. It worked.
A note on Vitamin E oil – if you do make any of these, be sure to add in Vitamin E oil. You can get it at Walmart fairly inexpensively, and it works as a preservative. It will add to the longevity of your product.
Another note on scents – if you want to add scent to your oils, go easy on them, preferably real essential oil, and be sure to research them. Some, like cinnamon and clove, can give you a bad burn. If you're using this on your face, DON'T ADD ANY AT ALL! Do your research, find some recipes online, watch some videos, and enjoy!

  5. Great video! You should also check out Korres stick lipbalm. It comes in clear or colored ones with SPF 15. Also I love Pure Fiji Sugar Rub. You can get that at Amazon. The scents are amazing and a tub will last you for a long time. Your skin really stays hydrated after using that.

  6. I really like the Burts Bee's lemon cuticle cream. I carry it in my purse and also next to my bed so I use it before I sleep. Doing that has made it more of a routine for me

  7. Love zumbars. We get horrible hard water here in central Texas, so my skin dries out horribly if I use most soaps. Personally, I need to wash every day, but then I sweat easily and always have.

  8. SKINCARE SUNDAAAY ::insert out of control hair metal guitar riff:: Thanks for the heads up on the Algenist serum. I've been using the Paula's Choice one and haven't had a problem but hearing your experience makes me worried about quality control. Also, Rocko being adorable is life.

  9. I use a cold humidifier too, Target has adorable animal shaped ones like frogs, elephants and mine which is a dragon.

  10. Late to the party, but I just wanted to say that I'm not only loving seeing all your videos this month, but! Just the feel and commentary in these videos. I love seeing this "it is what it is" kind of esthetic you're giving off! Makes my heart so happy!

  11. Rock on! lol Love your rescue pup! My skin is dry, especially my feet in Winter. I appreciate this video so much! thanks!

  12. I totally agree about washing only those areas that are necessary. Once I started this my skin was much happier. Hugs, Joy

  13. Loving this video! Watching and slathering some May Lindstrom all over my face! My body is so damn itchy so I'm going to check out the CeraVe stuff.

  14. I recommend the California Mango cuticle oil you can find at Sallys, it smells amazing, moisturizes well & good bang for your buck too 😉

  15. i looooove love love skincare sundays 💙 i like just listening to all the benefits and effects that different products give you and what you personally like and dislike, whether its the texture or the scent of a certain product 💜 keep up the good work love 😇
