  1. Aveeno daily range is a great drug store option (as is their eczema therapy range) especially as it is available everywhere but despite having to internationally ship my vote is for prequel – first using one of their utility range products or urea cream then layering their hand wrap cream which acts as a flexible barrier.

  2. Pretty sure my specifications for hand creams are identical to yours and as a result for me it's super hard to find a hand cream I LOVE. I've lost count of the number of different hand creams I have around the house….Korean, Japanese, Swedish, Russian, French, drugstore, luxury, derm brands, you get my drift.

I've noticed with hand creams that I will like nearly everything when I first try them but then I dunno….they just don't continue to do the job or something.

Haven't tried the aveda. Maybe I should. What do you think is the best fragrance free hand cream that leaves your hands soft, plump, and hydrated? I used to always use scented creams/lotions but as I've gotten older (57) my tolerance for most scents has gone way down.

  3. Mary, try Hands in a bottle or Prequel hand cream. They are pretty much the same. In fact Sam Ellis the dermatologist who developed Prequel recommended it before formulating her own. Sinks in quickly and hydration stays

  4. So happy, and maybe even relieved, that Aveda is your favorite! Because it's a favorite of mine and I was worried I was going to have to start buying something else.๐Ÿ˜… but since we agree on the Aveda I guess I'm going to also have to try the Koba๐Ÿ˜‚ thanks for your thorough and honest reviews.๐ŸŽ‰

  5. Nearly didnโ€™t watch this one as I am a big fan of the Aveda hand cream (which I discovered through one of your videos) and didnโ€™t want to stray! But Fomo got me!
I have tried a few others including Necessaire but I still think the Aveda one 'blitzes' them!
Have one in the kitchen, bedroom, car and caravan but didnt realise they did minis so will pick up a couple for my handbag. ๐Ÿ™

  6. I have VERY dry skin, and my two favorite "drugstore" lotions are Cerave Moisturizing Cream (the one in the big tub w/the pump for just under $20) and Gold Bond Diabetics' Dry Skin Relief Body Lotion. My skin absorbs them both really well – no residue left behind – and they keep my hands soft/hydrated unril I wash them. I use the Cerave on my face, too. Neither one seems to have any long-term benefit, though: As soon as I wash my hands, they're dry again. I've honestly never found a hand cream that actually heals my dry skin with long-term use.

  7. Mary this is not hand cream as a topic but I HAVE to tell youโ€ฆ. Since your Allies of Skin videos I took a full plunge and OMG. I have used high end, wonderfully constructed skin care lines for years. So fussy am I. (Pharmacist). And let me tell you. A of S is truly in a league of itโ€™s own.

  8. Here's one out of left field: Trader Joeโ€™s Ultra Moisturizing Hand Cream. Has coconut oil, hemp seed oil, and 20% pure shea butter, along with essential fatty acids and skin-friendly antioxidants like vitamins C & E. Also has sunflower seed oil, sweet almond oil, and linseed extract. $4.99/3 oz. Works a treat on hands and feet! ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ˜˜

  9. I just love the passion and energy and warmth with which you spoke of hand creams ๐Ÿ™‚ I'm here coz I found a feel-good vibe at your channel!
