    Somewhere in there you said hat the chickens would be fertilizing as they picked through the pre-garden, but I keep hearing that chicken manure is too hot for putting on a garden. So, please . . . what am I missing?

    I JUST LOVE TO SEE ALL OF YOUR CHILDERN HELPING YOU AND MRS MAX. MRS MAX THIS OLD LADY LIKES TO SEE THAT YOU ARE PUTTING A HAT ON THAT BABY LITTLE HEAD. SO MANY NEW MOTHERS DON'T DO THAT ANYMORE AND I HAD A BABYSITTER THAT MADED MY SUN BONNETS BECAUSE I LOVED TO PLAY OUTSIDE AND SHE DON'T WANT ME TO GET SUNBURN THIS IS BEFORE ALL THE SUN SCREEN OUT THERE.     You have mentioned the meat bird weight before…. Do y'all feed meat bird ration or just laying hen style ration? We rotate our Cornish cross on grass and they get soaked feed 3x a day… Toward the end 40+ birds are getting a full 5 gallon pail of soaked grower feed. Our average butcher weight is 5 lbs at 8 weeks.
