I made this diagonal design cold process soap using pink and green clays (plus a little indigo root powder) to create the pastel colors. It’s scented with an essential oil blend that reminds me of spring and summer. Thank you so much for watching, liking, & subscribing! — Holly 🙂

DISCLAIMER: I make these videos to share my own personal methods and techniques for how I make cold process soap. These videos are not intended as tutorials for beginners. These videos are intended for those who already have an understanding of cold process soap making. Cold process soapmaking has many variables and involves working with sodium hydroxide (NaOH, also referred to as lye). Lye and raw soap can damage your eyes and burn your skin. When making soap, you should already know and practice lye safe handling procedures and always wear safety gear. While I hope you find watching my videos helpful or entertaining, so many variables go into making soap and even the smallest change can greatly affect the results; therefore, I am not liable or responsible for your results if you try any of the methods or techniques that I use in my videos.

  1. Hi everyone! At the end of the video, I included the recipe (entered into SoapCalc). I also added an alternative recipe for those of you who would rather not use lard.
As I'm writing this, I have one of these soaps next to me, and it smells so good! If you try the EO blend (listed in the description box), let me know what you think. When I used to sell soap, this fragrance was always a customer favorite during the spring/summer months, and it smells even better (to me) as the soap ages.
Thank you so much for watching and always being so supportive! 💕–Holly 🙂

  2. Love how you used the indigo to make the green clay come out! Often using french green clay the color is to faint.

  3. I love this soap Holly, it's pretty. I don't have all the oils you used to make this spring blend, but I'll see what I can do. Thanks again for sharing, I want to try that soap curls design 😊.

  4. A beautiful and very clean soap, love to use same colours of clays as well, the Rosa is a favourite. Thank you so much for the video, always to lovely and calming to watch🙏❤️

  5. Hi Holly, I don't know if you've done it before, but, can you do a full milk soap with frozen coconut cream? Sprinkle the lye over the frozen cream?

  6. They are so pretty Holly, I love your designs & your natural ingredients. Simplicity is beautiful!

  7. Your colour choice is on target. It's so calming. And AGAIN, I love your accent. Stay safe, dear Holy. Sending love and well wishes from Preroria, South Africa🇿🇦💐

  8. Thank you so much for a wonderful video. I am always looking for new essential oils blends and I will definitely check yours out.

  9. Hello, congratulations on your soaps, they are very beautiful and elegant! I would like to ask you for information, when you write one part, two parts of oil, how many grams are they? is one part in 100 grams then 10gr? thank you very much, Roberta🌸🌿

  10. Holly, Thank you for sharing this lovely video. Yours are my favorite out of a long list I subscribe to. I add my praise to all the others'! I only wish my soap sessions were as calm as yours! I always get frantic about one thing or another, lol. It's so generous of you to share your complete recipes. I'm not a new soaper but I enjoy comparing my recipes to those of more experienced soapmakers. The addition of indigo is new info for me. I haven't used green clay more than once because the color was so drab. Including soapcalc is a great help to beginners I'm sure. Best wishes.

  11. Hi! thank you so much, this is amazing 🙂
how do you decide to blend your clay with water or with oil before mixing it with the soap?
if you have a video regarding clay colors I would love to watch
    thanks

  12. Hi Holly, when you hydrate the clay with water – do you adjust the water in the lye? Or as such a small amount it’s ok? Xx
