    They are great small pigs for sure! I believe my wild barr is a descendent as he looks just like one and grew at the slower rate and is only around 300 lbs at 4 years old. He is fat though so when I put him on a diet he will trim off about 50-60 lbs easy! Thanks for sharing!

    My son has a guinea pig as a pet. He likes everyone but me. He head butts me and trays to bite me. Do you know why? Is it my voiice, my smell? He scares me now.

    We’ve got these beautiful hogs…a mature sow and her 4 yearling gilts. We plan to add a herd sire for spring piglets next year.

    Thank you – we just brought home 4 AGHs…3 girls/1 boy, 5 mos old…our plans are to raise and butcher our own pork. We butcher our chickens and meat rabbits, so this is a smaller animal that we can handle and not pay the big $$ for processing which is nutty today in 2021…we have a couple cows that get bred and we have to take them to processor at time…but we are trying to be self sustaining as much as possible.

    I'll have to be careful to not grow them in the field that's full of snakes. Its taken many years to turn that field into a giant hibernaculum.
