We have been to Japan several times and used Black Cat every time. We use hotel to hotel and this makes Shinkansen travel a breeze. We usual get bags picked up by 6pm and when we arrive the next day, our bags magically appear. Btw your videos are very helpful arigato.
One time my flight arrived super early at 5 am and the earliest bus schedule from HND to Ikebukuro was at 11…so I decided to use black cat and take monorail and Yamanote for it… since it was super early, there were no lines…they told me, they could only deliver til next day at 5pm…I wasn’t sending it to Osaka…next day? So I passed…😂😂😂
Can you have luggage shipped from Haneda Airport to the Tokyo International Cruise Terminal?
Thank you for the information!
Do we need to notify the receiving hotel about the luggage being sent? And how long did the luggage take to send from hotel to hotel?
I have a pretty packed schedule and will only be at each city for 3 days at a time.
Thanks!
Is it possible to send luggage in advance? For example, I plan to send my luggage on Thursday from Tokyo and arrive in Kyoto on Sunday.
We are going to Hakuba for 5 days to snowboard and then we are traveling around Japan for 16 days after that. Jal ABC has long term storage in Haneda Airport but will Kuro Neko deliver to them or will Jal ABC pick them up in Hakuba.
I searched the sites and can't find an answer.
Great video , if I arrive at Haneda in the morning, can Kura Neko deliver to a hotel in Tokyo area within say 3-4 hours ?
Very usefull video thank you so much !! be aware that not even a year after this video the prices tripled and its now from 2000 yen to 8500 yen to send big parcels
Thank you so much for this video ! Very helpful for my trip!
Easy.. been staring at the yamato transport website for an hour and I can't make sense of how to send my luggage from tokyo to my remote takayama onsen T_T
Maybe only useful if you don't go off the beaten path..
I was wondering do you know if I can send my luggage from Haneda to a hotel in Tokyo? On the website it says it’s not available but I see that it is from other videos.
There is a big downside that is not (cleary) mentioned. We arrived at Narita in the morning. They were NOT able to deliver it the same day in our hotel in Tokyo. Even the next day was questionable. I don't know about you, but this makes it absolutely useless as I can't miss my luggage for that long.
Thanks! Yamato is great!
What is the Fujiyoshida location called ?
Your videos are very helpful. Arigatou gozaimasu! ❤🎉
I'm glad you gave alternatives! We're a family of 5 and definitely thought of getting a van, I just didn't know if it was possible.
Super useful. Love it!
Hi first time traveling to Japan! Can you schedule these pick-ups in advance? Or do you normally just do it the day before you check out of the hotel?
Thank you so much for information. I was looking for this type of information and experience from other families. You answered all my question and provide alternatives! ❤
Do you think it would be feasible to ship from Tokyo to Kyoto and have the luggage on the second day?
My idea would be to ship the luggage, stay the night in hakone and then get to Kyoto the next day.
Scary. Yamato opened all four my suitcases that were pass code locked. I tried using Yamato on my current family trip Tokyo to Kyoto. It was a two day service. I do not get why they would go into my travel clothes? My suitcase with all my purchases made in Tokyo was also opened. Thank goodness I saved all my receipt or else I would not know what will be missing. I would not trust this service with any of my purchases made here or anything expensive because they can just turn and resell in Japan.😮 I trust the lockers at the stations much a lot more.
Great video – unfortunately the prices have significantly increased since the video. I think an updated vid is due!! Prices jumped from 2840 to 3730 for the second last tier for example
Hello, can you help me. Is it possible if I send my luggages from Narita Airpot to Yamato sales office at Asakusa to be kept for 3 days and then they send my luggages to my hotel in Asakusa after 3 days without I go to their sales office?
What kind of air tag are you using and where to buy please 💗
Just checked Yamato website, apparently their Haneda counter doesn't provide hands-free service, only temporary luggage storage. Is it correct? Thanks.
I tried Yamato once when in Tokyo – needed my large bag to sent to my hotel in Nagoya, but not next day, rather I needed the bag to arrive the day after that, which I specified along with the hotel address. I was a bit skeptical since I paid cash only for the bag to be transported and I didn't get a tracking number or anything. I wasn't so concerned since the bag was entirely clothes and souvenirs – my expensive stuff was in my personal backpack. When I arrived to my hotel in Nagoya, I expected they would have it behind the check in counter in a luggage room or something, but I was informed it was in my room. Lo and behold, when I enter my room my bag is in there. So yeah, I'd definitely use this service again if I had a large bag to deal with.
Thx, this was super helpful.
Great video and very informative! I'm visiting Japan for 3 weeks and will definitely be utilizing Yamato Transport. I have a snowboard bag that I would like to transport to my ski resort ryoken/hotel but my stay there will be on the 3rd week of my trip and it would be nice to have my snowboard bag transported directly to my ryoken/hotel. Question: Would you happen to know the longest they can hold a bag before shipping it? Would I have to ask my resort to hold on to my bag until I arrive there? Is there a locker service where I can just keep my snowboard bag in the entire time until my 3rd week? Thank you!
Omg thanks for this video when i need it the most T_T
i still got a qn tho, if i book in a convenient store in Osaka and want to pick it up in Tokyo in 6 days time, can i pick it up at the convenient store as well?
